No DOOM III this year (:() according to this news feed .
Damn.
I think this is a bad move for id Software. Half Life 2 is going to have the entire last qtr. of this year to become people’s favorite game, and with all the advancements we’ve seen so far on the HL2 engine it will probably make us look at DOOM III and go, “Meh.”
Poop. I was really looking forward to that, too. I guess I’ll just have to content myself with HL2.
Yeah, I thought that was a bad move, too. Not quite 3D Realms bad, but bad nonetheless.
Please enlighten me. What was 3D Realms bad move? Thanks!
The infamous Next Duke Nukem game which is, what, 7 years late?
I bet they are just doing this so they can be 100% sure that everyone in the world will have to buy a new video card to play it.
Yeah, but it’ll look great when it comes out. They’re using, what, the Doom 3 engine now?

Great sig. I love that book.

Nooooooo! Doom is my favorite FPS series.
Oh my god, are they still making Duke Nukem forever?
Well I guess the silver lining is I can put off my Mobo and CPU upgrade.
It’s a very very cloudy silver lining though.
Dude, FreeLancer was like 5 years in the making. Duke Nukem Forever is older and crustier than THAT!
But Lobsang , you don’t want to miss out on HL2 when it comes out.
Oh, and Tron 2.0 is gold and should be out in a week or two, so that’s one to consider.
