No Electricity In The East: Let's Gossip About Them While They Can't Read This!

Yep…NY, New Jersey, Cleveland, Toronto, Ottawa…none of them have electricity now. Time to air the dirt on those people while they can’t see what we are writing!

(I remember living in NYC back in the 3 day blackout of 1977…had to walk up 18 flights of stairs to a friend’s “help me eat the contents of my freezer” party. He neglected to mention there was no water in the bathroom due to lack of electricity and this was one party that really stunk to high heaven. There was also one single deli in Greenwich Village that still had an old ice box freezer and it was the only place to get a cold drink. But the New Yorkers were pretty cool about the crisis…only on day three was there some mild looting, and then the electricity started to come back on - neighborhood by neighborhood. If I am not mistaken, the '77 blackout was also during the wonderful month of August.)

First thing that popped out of my mouth after I’d called my mom up near Albany and seen what the situation was -

So of course I left the TV news and came on here.

huh? What does the water have to do with electricity? (All right, might be a dumb question, but I really have no idea!)

And I did too think the board was very fast tonight.

The news mentionned Boston being hit, well it isn’t true. We haven’t lost power at all tonight. I heard of a couple of town in Westner Massachusetts, but who live there anyway ? :wink:

I live between Buffalo and Syracuse and my power didn’t even wink… it was out a mile down the road though.
