Broke a tooth on Monday evening while biting down on a fun dip stick.
On the positive side, it didn’t hurt, I had my night guard to wear so I didn’t slash up my cheek, and my dentist wasn’t out of town.
This morning he had me come in before hours, gave me encouraging words about how benign the large break was, and took about 20 minutes to fix the damage
Buy a bottle of Nature’s Miracle, a can of tennis balls and then stuff the duvet into a large front loading washing machine. Wash on gentle, but use the warmest heat that you can with the fabric. Add a couple of cups of Nature’s Miracle to the wash cycle and stop the machine to soak for up to an hour if you can. Start the machine again and when its done, put the duvet in the dryer with the tennis balls. With down, its best to use a medium heat.
Ignore the noise, but do open the dryer a few times during the cycle to kinda shake the duvet out and make sure its drying evenly.
That should remove the scent of cat pee not only for you, but for kitty’s very sensitive nose as well.
Hopefully, kitty only has a bladder infection or something else easily treated. Environmental issues are a totally different thing, but please remember that kitty didn’t do it because kitty is a jerk.
When I moved into this place, it had a key meter for the electric- what that means is you have to pre-pay for electricity, rather than getting a bill. You go to a shop, hand over cash and this little thing that looks a bit like a USB drive, and stick that in the meter to put it on you account. It’s used for people with bad credit and places that change over tenants often. Really annoying things, especially if you live somewhere you don’t have 24hr shops to top up, and they’re even more expensive than standard rates.
I have OK credit, so I asked if I could change it. No problem. Took a few months for the electric company to send someone to change over, but they did last month.
Then I get my first bill. It’s utterly obscene, over £400 for a one bedroom flat for one month. About 10 times what I’d expect. I’ve looked at the bill, and there’s a charge on there of £350 from the period before they changed the meter, from when I had to pay for it all in advance. The hell?!
I’ve already paid for then! And it was nothing like that much!
I’m trying to get it sorted out now, but that’s just messed up.
Apparently they’re sending me a new ‘correct’ bill. I wait with interest.
Ikr, I had shingles 3 years ago, the most horrible experience of my WHOLE life! And 2 of my babies were over 10 lbs., labor was no comparison to shingles. It just
went on forever. But this 5th disease isn’t too bad. My daughters baby is cranky and feverish still. She’s about to pull her hair out, from lack of sleep. She was crying to me on the phone. I hate when my kids have to have these probs, but this too will pass. We all have to go through it with kids. And she says she wants one more baby!! We will see.
