BTW, since I posted to your Pit thread I haven’t been back to it…sometimes saying something, turning around and leaving is the best thing to offer. I am not glued to every thread I post to…I said what I had to say, whether I was right or wrong and go the other way.

The fact that you assume I/we are attacking you only on the basis of your Pit threads/posts (if, indeed, these are “attacks”) shows a marked lack of faith in my/our ability/ies to form an independent opinion. If you think we’re all (or I am) that stupid and short-sighted, why are you bothering to reply to me/us at all, since I/we am/are obviously of inferior intelligence and merit, and hence don’t deserve your harried and time-constrained effort?

FTR - I did not come here from the Pit, or even from #straightdope right now. I came here from the Forum I take most seriously - GQ. Why? Because you posted a link to here in GQ. Why did I feel like commenting? Because tonight you were rude in GQ, and I’m calling you on it. Same as I expect to be called on it when I am.
Like I said - you wanna make me go away? It’s simple. Respond honestly, non-dismissively, non-rudely, and non-sarcastically. Or not at all. Fine by me either way.

Liz, in fact, all of you, you know how much I like you. I consider all of you my friends, and friendship should include an ability to overlook little flaws in the friend. I’m generally real good at that, although it’s probably annoying to have me chortling about your flaws. But I do it publicly and expect and accept the same from all of you.

I sincerely apologize to you. In my client’s email crisis and trying to keep up with this thread I completely misread your post.
I admit I was less than kind but rather than take my frustrations to the thread in question I posted them where most appropriate, The Pit. I also brought it to the thread in question because this has been a topic of frustration for me a long time.
Again I apologize to you for reading into something that was not there.
