Day after tomorrow (tomorrow looks like a busy day, and I may not have time to get online), I’m climbing on one of those infernal, new-fangled “flying machines” and attempting to cross the Pacific Ocean to spend the holiday with my family (whom I have not seen in 2 years). So, unless I can hijack my sister’s computer (and figure out how to use it! It’s a Mac, and I’m an IBM clone kinda guy…) you may not hear from me for a week and a half or so.

BTW: If you should hear of any Delta flights (from Tokyo to Atlanta) plunging, in flames, into the ocean… please know that I died screaming and cursing… (and trying to comfort the fiancee, who will be with me!).
As far as the plane NOT being in flames, uh, actually I had not considered that… if it goes down I want it to be in flames, dammit!!
OK… if it goes down and it is NOT in flames, assume that I was reading or sleeping at the time…
I HATE flying!!! NOT because I am scared, but because I am 6’ 4" tall… and there is no possible way for me to be comfortable in one of those designed-for-people-shorter-than-5’0" seats…

Okay, it’s been ten days since Astroboy posted to the board. There’s been no reports of missing or downed planes, right? Maybe it’s too early for concern, but Ogre’s serial killer thread (Though Ogre seems to have survived, for now) has got me to thinking about the transistory nature of life, etc. and I’m hoping Astro has got through quite all right.
So Astro, drop us a message as soon as you can! Some of us are beginning to worry…
