This was going to be a humorous note in the “Sequels that should never be made” thread, but then I discovered that they have made a sequel to Final Destination called (with startling originality, Final Destination 2.
Now I wasn’t surprised when they made a sequel to The NeverEnding Story, and in fact I kind of expected it. But a sequel to Final Destination??? The original movie was craptacular, lacking only Steven Seagal to make it a perfect ZERO. Was the original movie so profitable as to warrant a sequel?
The question I have to ask is, what movie didn’t get made because this one did.
Bit of a hijack, but I never saw the irony in a movie called Neverending Story 2. Of course there was a sequel! The story never ends! How can you not make a sequel? If there wasn’t a sequel, the story would have ended after the first one. That would be ironic. Or oxymoronic, at the very least.
I liked it too, it was one of the few horror movies to have an effect on me afterwards - for the next couple of days I was extra cautious, everything around me seemed like a deathtrap.
