No wonder everyone hates the Jews... they steal the eyes of Palestinian children!

I usually stay out of threads like this because they are only an invitation for racism, intolerance and other such nice stuff to be posted.

By the way, Zev., I do think there is some influence coming from such silly programs (I didn’t hear about this but then, I don’t watch such type of Informative Media). Just as much as there is coming from certain other productions where “the Arabs” are pictured as posessing all the evil you can think of.

Side note: If this program is set up as described then they not only use it to have “some” influence on the viewers, they also do a very good parody on what Mengele and other Nazis did to the Jews.

[QUOTE=C K Dexter Haven]
Sarcasm is based on the assumption that we all understand that the charges are ridiculous, ludicrous, lying hate-filled propaganda. We have at least one member of this board, and I would not be surprised if there were more than one, who undoubtedly BELIEVES those lies.

[QUOTE]

You have? You are very sure someone here believes this? Can you post that member’s name and give a cite?

I have a few questions here:

Is this thing the OP talks about released as a government propaganda?
Like some say that Hollywood productions picturing always Middle Eastern men as “terrorists” are US government propaganda? (Just like was very clear that at the time every “attack” planned on the USA came from “The Reds” )

And you really have no idea of it that in Israel there are people who claim that all Arabs should be annihilated and how this should be done?
Did you for example ever read a few famous quotes in that direction coming from Great Arab Friend Ariel Sharon?
I did. Quite a few. Really.

Salaam. A

Reading is a breeze if you don’t sweat comprehension, eh?

Sure, he starts out with a bit of a “Some of my best friends are Jews” kind of line, but what he is pointing out is that there needs to be a little introspection, because he sees alot of whats going on as the same type of shit he witness during Apartheid. And you might consider him to be a decent judge.

I might ask you the same thing. Did you even read the article closely before commenting on it?

A few choice quotes:

He writes about

but he fails to write about why the checkpoints and roadblocks have been set up in the first place. If you want to bomb my pizza parlor I don’t fucking care if you feel humiliated when I take the steps necessary to protect myself.

He makes ridiculous statements about US-Israeli relations and repeats silly assertions from Muslim propaganda:

Um Mr. Tutu anti-Semitism has nothing to do with Muslims. It means hatred of Jews. And the Jews don’t control the country or Bush wouldn’t be president right now because most Jews are Democrats.

Here’s another lovely line from his charming article:

Yeah all white people are insane and only by the grace of whatever is the man prevented from hating them all .

I say it again: Fuck Desmond Tutu. Judging by this article the man’s an idiot with barely concealed racist tendencies.

It’s a little hard to find any “introspection” in the middle of Mr. Tutu’s hyperbole and overblown rhetoric. Again go read the actual article before you find the nerve to criticize MY reading comprehension.

It’s also completely absurd to argue that you don’t care about anti-Semitism in the Iranian media because you don’t like some of the policies of the Israeli government.

Actually, a reading of this thread would reveal most posts to comprise humor and sarcasm in response to the nuttiness involved, leavened with occasional expressions of sadness and disgust.

You have examples showing that Israeli media produce similar libels and hatred? Cite?

Really? Cite?

And no, “My post is my cite” will not cut it.

You’re talking about the US? If so, what programs would those be? I know you like using hyperbole, but no, Middle Eastern men are not always protrayed as terrorists. Yes, there’s the Middle Eastern hijacker plot in some movies. And you’re right, it is just a rehashing of the communist plot.

So is this "all the evil you can think of’? These aren’t government endorsed in anyway and they’re not quite on the same level as stealing eye balls, cooking with human blood (for religious purposes no less), and truly every other evil Imperial Russia could think of.

I’m not seeing the connection here, Aldebaran.

Well, there’s also his tinfoil hattery that I pointed out. Rememer, United States citizens cannot have their own opinions because the Jewish Lobby is simply too strong.

And, while you might say that he’s a decent judge, I say he’s biased. He sees a situation that, on its surface, is similiar to apartheid and claims it’s the same. The reality, however, is that he’s knee-jerking and wrong.

Uh, Aldebaran? Have any cites for us?

For instance, Ariel Sharon’s allegedly claiming “that all Arabs should be annihilated and how this should be done” - I’m sure you wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to educate us with the quotes in question.

Aldebaran doesn’t do cites. His post is his cite, or his boast is his bite, whatever.

I don’t recall any particularly disparaging comments by Ariel Sharon, but I have had personal experience dealing with some otherwise-sane Jews who hold some kooky/scary views of Arabs. A relatively influential Lubavitch rabbi who I would prefer to not name once said something to me, confiding in my sister and I as he went through a lesson. He said that there is a plan shared by Arabs to rise up one day and slit the throats of all Jews; that we should never make friends with any Arabs or risk them stabbing us in the back on that day. I never saw him in the same light after that.

Obviously, we stopped attending his lessons. I hope he has changed his mind, but I doubt it.

Obviously you can find loons and/or flaming bigots in any country.

What occupies a class by itself is the promotion of a particularly vile form of bigotry by a government - and I don’t think anyone is under the illusion that what appears on Iranian TV doesn’t have the endorsement of Iran’s rulers.

As Necro Romancer said of supposed Hollywood stereotypes of Arabs:

If you’re going to claim official malfeasance on an equivalent level by Israel and the United States, you’d better have some facts to offer.

You seriously never heard of - for example - these quotes? Are you sure you live on Planet Earth?

It is the duty of Israeli leaders to explain to public opinion, clearly and courageously, a certain number of facts that are forgotten with time. The first of these is that there is no Zionism, colonization or Jewish State without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands.

Ever check the veracity of those quotes? For example:

Another fake.

According to Kol Israel the broadcast never occured. It started with a press release from Hamas.

This is a classic piece that is pulled out everytime someone wants to bring up the canard that the Jews (or Israelis – to most people who bring this up it makes little difference) control the United States.

Zev Steinhardt

Well, if you volunteer to deliver proof that quotes were falsely attributed to persons, that hence all the authors of the works I refer to were all reeding/quoting falsified sources, that interviews were not given, that News agencies and Radio Stations did not publish etc…
Be my guest.

Enjoy your new hobby. Please pass me the results of your research. Even better: ask all the persons you want to conduct your research on to contact me to have a chat about this. Thank you.

Thankyou Lute Skywatcher and zev_steinhardt. Aldebaran just about had me eating out of his hand with those quotes.

You want me to bring you a tape of a radio broadcast that didn’t happen?

By the way: I didn’t say Sharon gave an interview. The person in question seems to have been interviewed, during that interview quoting what he heard Sharon declaring about the issue. I also didn’t mention any “general”.

Tss… You really should pay more attention when reading what I post here.

You’re (willfully?) misunderstanding again. Some of your quotes are fake or taken out of context.

You didn’t need to. Other versions of that “quote” make those claims, which should have tipped you off had you done any research.
