When asked to provide proof, you gave several quotes from different people. Among the quotes was one that was supposedly from a Kol Israel radio broadcast in which Sharon said that the Jews control America.

At no point in your post did you state that you were not vouching for the accuracy of these “quotes.” That implies that you believe them to be real.

I (and other posters) then linked to sources that stated that the quotes you posted are either fake or taken out of context.

But you see, this whole thing started when I pointed out the Iranian TV special. Your reaction was “Well, the Jews do it too…” But the “Jews control America” is really off-topic. It has nothing to do with either side wanting to “destroy” the other.

IOW, you felt that as long as you were posting material, you felt it was OK to insert the “Jews control America” canard.

So, I ask you directly: Why did you bring that up? It has nothing to do with the discussion at hand. Why did you feel the need to point out that “the Jews control America?”

Again, I put the matter to you: The subject of this thread was about Iranian TV spreading horrible lies about Israelis/Jews. You responded with the point that the Israelis are just as guilty of saying bad things about Arabs and/or Palestinians. You provided some quotes to that effect.

Among the quotes you provided was one supposedly from Sharon stating that the Jews control America. This, as you are no doubt aware, is an old canard that is repeated in many circles in the U.S. and abroad. The “quote” (which is a fake anyway) has nothing to do with the topic of this thread. Not a thing. I’ve asked you to tell me why you included it and all you gave me was that “it was in one of my files.”

So, what am I to believe?

(a) That you purposely chose the occassion of the posting of your other quotes to slip a filthy lie about Jews in?
(b) That are careless and just cut-and-paste some screed without actually reading it?
(c) That you wanted to gain sympathy with Americans on this board by turning them against Jews?

The problem is that you have no credibility. I don’t think you have a “studyfield”. I see no indication that you know how to do research, no indication that you understand the difference between fact and opinion, and no indication that you have anything but a closed mind. You think that Saddam Hussein being shaved is an affront to Muslims, but call an Israeli a “pig” with no second thought. You believe it wasn’t proven that militant Islamists are beheading Americans (Britons/Iraqis/French/Turks) but take the most scurrilous rumors spread about American (et al. )troops as fact.
