(This might be one, maybe I’m wrong and he meant something other than Striaght Dope when he said “SD”)

I was recently watching a heavy metal show on MuchMusic(Canada’s MTV, except they play videos), and a guy called up, saying he wanted to hear Stillborn by Black Label Society. He said hello to “all you SD MFers”. At first I thought he said SDMB. Then the host said “I don’t know what the SD is for, but I do know what MF means”. I instantly thought of you guys when he said that.

You have any non physical doper sightnings/references?

I saw Diogenes the Cynic quoted in the New York Times last week, and was really impressed, till I realized it was the original one they were quoting.

And I will occasionally come across a book in the library or bookstore edited by Ukulele Ike.

NewScientist, a British science mag (www.newscientist.com) quoted “douglips” two weeks ago in a “quotables” section. I can’t remember what he was saying. Something ironic.

I saw a letter to the editor in the New York Times from Eve. I started a thread about it, too.

Apparently Eve gets around, 'cos I saw her on TV once, and I’ve seen The Bad Astronomer’s book at the local college bookstore.

That’s about it, I think.

I got involved in an online game of MaoNomic with some other people who were friends of a friend, people I’d never met. One of them turned out to be long-fallow SDMB poster - his last post was apparently April 2000. I found out about it when he emailed me saying he was impressed by my work in a Physics thread. :slight_smile:

Woeg and I both post to the Armour Archive website from time to time, if that counts. Haven’t seen anybody on TV or anything like that, unless y’all have parts on any of the very few shows I watch.
