Norm has awesome chemistry with Conan.

And he is FINALLY going to be on Conan’s new show tonight, May 17. First time I’m watching again in months. I’m very excited.
It may have been only one minute, but I haven’t laughed so hard in weeks…
See, I don’t hate sports perse, but I don’t follow them, and have a very low tolerance of tribalism and hero worship. But I can actually tolerate, laugh, and even be somewhat captivated by sports through Norm’s bent. I even laugh out loud.
Caught the visit on Conan last night. Also, caught Sports Show for the first time. 2 thumbs up, I guess. Not a huge fan but he still has it. Whatever it was. Reminds me a little of Harland Williams.
It’s really only barely a sports show. He kind of just uses that format as a framework for his normal schtick. It’s a premise. It’s not Norm MacDonald doing a sports show, it’s “Norm MacDonald doing a sports show.”
I liked the “oh, Google” bit last night where ever search term about the WNBA get getting the question “did you mean the NBA?”
Yep I watched all the clips that Comedy Central offered on their website, and I would agree that you don’t need to be a sports fan or know anything about sports.
I guess not enough people enjoy Norm’s style of humor, as his new show just got the axe today…
Too bad, as I have always thought that he is one of the genuinely funniest, most intelligent comics around, but his quirky delivery must not be everyone’s cup of tea.
