Glad the toe is surviving, rosie. I’d take it easy today, too.
Hope you find where Grampy’s antibiotics are, puggy. Did you ask if your local Winn-Dixie can check where it might be? They might be able to look that up (assuming it’s at another W-D).
I’ve collected my stuff, walked around campus a bit, had a yummy lunch and am now at a coffee shop on the way out of town. Hopefully the trek home will be less annoying than the one here. I know there’s construction along the way home and am about to look for a viable detour. Traffic looked worse heading south than it did north and I really really really don’t want to do the parking lot thing again. There was about 1/2 an hour where we alternated between 0 and 40 mph. I just don’t take well to traffic jams.
Ya know what’s jake? Making a wonderful lunch and having it all eaten up. That’s jake! I figure the best compliment I can get about my cooking is a bunch of empty dishes at the end of the meal.
Anywho, the dishes are washed (yay for dishwashers!) and a nap has been had. I’m considering a nice relaxing float around the pool.
Yeah, well, there are a lot of things about the relationship that I think are dumb. But I wasn’t consulted and we all know what my opinion would mean to them so… <shrug>
I just quit after many hours of glazing. I did 24 of my pieces plus the 3 my daughter and nephew threw. I’ve got 18 more to go. The more artistic pieces are still to be done - I wasn’t too adventurous with this first batch. But give me time - I’ll get there.
I still need to do my shoulder stretches. whoop-de-doo… I’ve gotten to the point where progress will be slower and that’s not a good thing for one who is ever-so-slightly impatient… grrrrrrr!
Well, this post took longer than I thought. Midway thru, the dog horked up on the rug. I didn’t need that.
So, you were hoping to finish your post before Bernie horked on the rug? Was it some kind of race?
This gettin’ old bidness ain’t no fun. It’s sad when you stand in the pharmacy aisle at the store and wonder whether you should buy Deep Heat or Ben Gay this week.
I have just moved almost entire truckload of mulch-by wheelbarrow. Thank god my husband helped me for about 2 hours–I would have passed out, otherwise!
I am so tired, I am numb. I am not done yet–I have about 30 more minutes in the yard and then…bubble bath and trash fiction. I came because I had to have water.
And brownies–I deserve ‘em.
hope all appendages on all MMPers are in good shape (I dont’ want to hear about some of them!).
I decided to check in with my doc this week, if for no other reason than to get a proper dressing on the toe - but it seems mostly okay - I have no fever, and there is no radial tenderness both of which are good signs
I’ll keep you posted
all the talk of yummy home made foods makes my mouth water - I had canned tuna with mayo and lemon juice which Smokey insisted I share with her (I did. I spoil her)
Chocolate is always the right answer, LiLi. Go for it!
I think I have an OP for tomorrow. Now maybe I should finish off my presentation that I’d like to e-mail in to work in the morning. Please note my priorities. Or my procrastination skills. Please don’t tell me which.
Glad the toe seems OK, rosie. But going to the doc is a good idea anyway.
Haven’t really done much other than write. Talked to mom. Left a voicemail for the elusive bro.
FCM: or else…couldn’t think of anything offhand, but I was hoping my threatening tone would get you moving… Glad to see it worked.
