The AR-15 is an extremely popular gun in American. Millions are owned, while hardly any are used in crimes. A lot like drugs, banning guns will not make them go away. It’s an intellectually-lazy concept.

I’m a libertarian who’s never owned a gun, nor even held one. I’m from a violent area in Chicago, where the strictest of gun laws have failed to stall the violence. All said laws do is make it hard for the good guys–many of whom are minorities being held hostage in their own neighborhoods–from obtaining guns. And I’ve got a big dick.

Your approach of simply ignoring the problem away won’t work. There is a loud, intolerant minority who makeup the Islamic faith. The religion is relevant when it consistently commits violent acts upon innocent people.

It’s a shame that the bodies of 50+ innocent people who were senselessly murdered, and whose bodies aren’t even cold yet, are being used by gun nuts everywhere–in true ignorant moron form–to push an agenda of being allowed to own the weapon that kills 50 people so easily. It’s deplorable that our nation’s Republican Presidential candidate, on his blowhard twitter feed, stood on the backs of the deceased in order to propel his agenda, while refusing, once again, to name the policies regarding guns associated with such devastation.

Weapons used in mass shootings are sold at gun shows and out of the trunks of vehicles and are extremely easy to obtain. But leftists aren’t ignoring the problem that is radical Islam. Many gun-rights advocates, however, are vehemently committed to ignoring and denying the problem that is insufficiently regulated access to guns by untrustworthy people.
