Whatever happened to the old Adidas and Nike shorts that had a strong nylon string running around the waist? One just had to cinch it tight and tie a knot. Well shorts nowadays have velcro out front, combined with a shoelace string arrangement or snap buttons. Velcro is a bore to undo when you’re wearing it. The shoelace get stuck. When closing, it doesn’t align well. And when peeing, it scratches against the sensitive male part. Even pockets have velcro which closes automatically; annoying when grabbing one’s keys or phone.
Sounds like you are buying board shorts, running shorts still have a full waist cord.
This. Running shorts (the older kind you describe) rarely have velcro.
You pee through the fly opening? You’re suppose to either drop trou or pee through the leg hole of your choice.
Not this again!
