Not to be a dick, but...

I just noticed in Slug’s accompanying drawing for Cecil’s Swiss cheese holes column, he should have, on the sign, “Cecil’s” as a possesive with an apostrophe.

I don’t know why that’s been bugging me, but I had to scratch the itch.

What’s a “dick butt”?

On second thought, maybe I don’t want anybody to answer that.

The apostrophe appears in my copy.

It’s not in mine, either.

RM Mentock, do you mean that the drawing that appears in the column from your local newspaper looks different than the drawing I can see on the website?

Jeez guys, Slug also spelled it “cheeze” on his sign. How come nobody wants to be a dick about that?

Cuz therez nothing wrong with cheeze. Gee whiz!

Yeah, that’s what they make Cheeze Whiz from.

Since we’re nitpicking Slug’s drawing, the perspective is all screwed up. The four holes (one in the door and three in the sign) all have different viewing angles. What’s up with that?

This is so weird! I just checked, and those Slug pictures… they’re cartoons!

Are you sure? That “guy” on the right looks very familiar.

Quoth JeffB:

The perspective is fine: You’re assuming that all of the holes were cut at the same angle, but they probably weren’t.

Oh, and not to nitpick a nitpick, but there are a total of five prominent holes in the drawing. You forgot the one in the “all-hole” cheese.

Yahbut you can’t see that one, because it’s in the bag.

Did I mention that persons named Peter, Willy, Orel, Roger, and Dick are forming an advocacy group to fight nomism?

I always cut MY cheese at the same angle (outward), but does it even need to be mentioned cheese holes are not cut but formed… naw… it doesn’t need to be mentioned.

UncleBill, the holes in question are not in cheese, but in the sign and in the door. Thus they were cut.

I think it’s safe to say that we’ve moved on from comments on Cecil’s columns to, well, being a bunch of dicks.

Have a nice day.
