You are either jumping to conclusions or are not seeing the whole picture. Cecil may well have a garter business and is in need of gut material. I think I would like to repeat that. Cecil has a garter business.

While I did find TubaDiva’s comments way up there at th’ beginning confusing as all hell – because they did seem out of context, I thought that the context was indeed someplace else. Lessons learned around here, I hope – but yes. We members rely on what we read, and it can’t be expected that we will have read every thread. Much as can’t be expected of mods and admins of the SDMB.
TubaDiva obviously did th’ moderating on the fly, and didn’t fully think things through as to how it would appear to the rest of us. Eh. This happens everywhere. At least we now have a clarification, which is good.
… and you usually are, subject to two constraints: (a) confidential or personal information that we cannot share, and (b) time. Somethings take time to investigate, and therefore the members are not given “full information” when an investigation is still underway. Sometimes, we move very quickly – as in this case – and an explanation will come a bit later if you’d just have a bit of patience AND perhaps ask quietly in an email.
No, never mind, far better to leap to wild and egregious conclusions, get angry, leap on the table and shout insults. Please, use a napkin, so you don’t get spittle on the table.
If a certain miniscule oyster-dweller had kept this in mind, a trainwreck could have been averted.
