Note to Sims 2 "Coach" characters - don't hassle vampires!

One of the most ANNOYING characters introduced in the Sims 2 “University” expansion pack was the “coach”, generally a grumpy Elder sim in athletic gear who would arrive, uninvited, on your lot, and proceed to yell at, berate, and hassle Sims that the coach thought were too “lazy” or too fat, guilt-tripping the sim being yelled at into frenetic exercise, interrupting whatever they were currently doing, be it hanging out, sleeping, watching TV, chatting, or even "WooHoo"ing…

annoying, unwelcome busybodies, the only NPC Sim more annoying is the infamous “Mrs Crumplebottom”, a prim, priggish old bat who takes a dim view of public displays of affection (yells at the Sims being amorous and hits them with her purse) or being “improperly” dressed in a swimsuit (she yells at the Sim to change into more “appropriate” attire)

Unfortunately, Crumpleb***ch is classed as an “Object” not a Sim, so you cannot interact with her or force her to leave, unless you happen to download the “No More Crumple” mod from ModTheSims2, when installed, she just vanishes, forever

anyway, unlike Crumpleb***ch, the Coaches ARE NPC Sims and can be interacted with

I had my TS2 game running as background noise, when I glanced over to find a Coach on the way to hassle one of my female Sims, an Asian Twi’Lek Sim (Lyn-Me)…who just happened to be a Vampire

Oh, did I mention, I have the MoreVampireInteractions mod installed, this mod gives the vamps the ability to Turn a sim, to drink their blood without turning them (and give the donor three extra days of life, or not), AND to perform the Bite of Death!

BWAHAHAHA! …Bleh!

So, I selected Lyn-Me, clicked on the approaching Coach…
“Bite Sim” [what do you want to do to your victim] “Vampire Bite” [What kind of Bite] “Bite of Death”

Lyn approached the Coach, put him under a hypnotic trance, and drained him DRY, the Coach dropped to the floor in a heap, and was escorted to the Hereafter by Grimmy, leaving a simple, nondescript urn of his remains, which Lyn then smashed, and threw away

Did I mention that the Coaches piss me off?

Not a good idea to hassle Vamps, you stupid Coaches, you don’t get hazard pay for being a Coach…

Heh, that’s a good one. I have got to get around to having vampires in my game.

I let Crumplebottom stay in my game. She hangs out in bars and drinks a lot. That doesn’t seem to leave her much time to attack anyone.

Normally, TS2 is kinda’ boring until you start adding in third-party mods

I treat it as a virtual Petri Dish, see what happens when Sims of different genetic makeups pass on their genes to the next generation, however, the standard skintones of 1-4 (pale, light, medium, dark) are somewhat boring, so I’ve added in Twi’Lek, Nebari, Talaxian, Scarran/Sebecean, robotic, alien, and the locked-out mannequin tone and a variety of more realistic skintones light through dark to spice things up

the Zombie fantasy character introduced in University (when a Sim dies, call the Grim Reaper on a special “Ressurect-O-Nomitron” phone, and be stingy with the money you’re paying him to ressurect the deceased Sim, you’ll get a Zombie) is rather boring, slouching about and thinking about brains, nothing more, however, add in the “fight club” and “Zombie Apocalypse” mods and the game turns into a virtual Night of the Living Dead, Zombies now attack mortal Sims (they ignore Vampires as they are considered Undead as well), if the Zombie wins the fight, the loser becomes a Zombie and goes on to attack other mortal Sims

Of course, this could add another level of unpredictability to the game if a Coach (or a cheerleader, or a streaker) was Zombified, not only would it enter the lot uninvited, but it’d yell at the Sim to start working out, then eat their brain when they were done (coaches, cheerleaders, and streakers are the most common Sims that enter a lot unnvited, interact with the playables, then leave)

as far as Crumpleprat goes, sometimes, just to be evil, when I did have her in the game, I’d send some Sims to community lots wearing “invisible” clothing (the Sims were visibly nude, but the game registers them as wearing Everyday clothing), Crumpleannoyance wouldn’t react to their “Emperor” outfits, but change into a swimsuit (actually putting on clothing!) and it’s lecture time

it made even less sense when she’d show up at the swimming pool lot, and yell at everyone for wearing bathing suits…

One mod that I have is a clock that lets you control the progress of time. Sims’ needs fall and rise independently from the time scale so with this clock it’s possible for them to be in and out of bed several times in one night.
