Nov '04 Election Comments Thread

Considering the hard-headedness of those folks who stood in line for 13 hours to vote, I think they are making the right choice in waiting until all of the votes are counted.

Guliani is on NBC and apparently thinks that sense we are at war, we need to rush this a little. He keeps talking and “endless, endless litigation.” I don’t think anyone is talking about that. He is distorting the reality. Kerry’s camp is talking about counting the votes in Ohio. Is that too much to ask?

I never claimed it wasn’t a long shot. I never claimed it would be easy. But it’s worth doing.

I promise you NBC hasn’t called Ohio, I’ve been watching Brokaw all night. I’ve got two TV’s going too.
AND ABC hasn’t really called it either. I just watched a discussion…did any of y’all see it. They were just talking about how the republicans really didn’t want this election to be decided in the courts and how they couldn’t understand WHY the Democrats didn;t just concede the election.
WTF is that? :dubious:

NBC and Tom Brokaw called Ohio at 11:59 PM CST. I looked at the clock to see what time it was. It is the Kerry camp that is contesting it and I support it!

I’m off to bed. 'Twas a fun… wow, I’ve been glued to CNN for 8 hours.

You are exactly right…they called it as i was typing my previous post.

I’m off to bed myself. Pleasure sharing this with all of you.

Lochdale.

MSNBC’s website called Ohio for Bush two hours ago. So did Fox.

But CNN, ABC and CBS still refuse.

He won the popular vote this time! He won FL by over 300K! Everything has gone smoothly! Are they really going to drag this out AGAIN!!!

Just a preview of what you’ll hear for the next 168 hours on talk radio.

I am not saying this to prove anyone right or wrong. I am not watching NBC on TV, but this is from MSNBC. I am not really clear on how NBC TV and MSNBC relate:

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6363692/

On that page is a link to a video of Brokaw referring to somebody else about NBCs decision to give Ohio to Mr. Bush.

Did anyone hear the report they just came up with? Wisconsin is reporting 115% voter turnout…heh that’s pretty damned good.

If the Republicans would quit trying to cheat we wouldn’t have to keep going to court.

The popular vote is irrelevant, by the way.

pdk88 & Slacker I concede the point…see my previous post.

That my friend is a proven FACT.

Is it still okay to count the votes in an election?

Which , the cheating or the pop vote ?

Declan

Is anyone STILL watching the results. They just showed that it is still possible with the 7 states still out that Kerry can win!

Forgive a dirty foreigner, but isn’t there anywhere on the web that shows the current state of the election, as in Kerry states, Bush states, and states that aren’t quite ready yet?

I was talkin about the pop vote but I get your point
