MSNBC has it at 87 vs 11%

Obama…Osama. Iraq…Iran. This can be very confusing for some folks.

Kerry’s leading Bush in Ohio, 55/45, with 1% reporting. Cuyahoga’s the only blue county so far, which isn’t surprising. Hamilton will probably go blue as well.

Breaking Story!!

Barak Obama has been chosen as one of GQ magazine’s Men of the Year.

You heard it here first.

Not many people know that… Challenger’s Deep… Marianne’s Trench… you get the picture.

Given that this is GD, all profanity will be replaced by “blank”.

Christ alblankingmighty, how the blank is blanking blank blank blank blank blank blank managing to blanking blank so many electoral votes blanking blank blank blank blank blank blank.

Thank blanking christ for blanking scotch of which I’ve blanking blank blank drank blanking a bottle and a blanking half so far. Blanking blank.

Kerry 74-66.

Obama smoking Keyes by 81 to 19. That’s not smoking, that’s bitchslapping.

And in conclusion, blank that blanking blank right in his blanking ear.

(After such intoxication, the word “blank” seems so odd. Blank blank blank. Blank.)

I would just like to report that a whiskey and cranberry is just the ticket if you’ve been in a feverish state all day and can’t seem to think straight. I am slightly drunk and ver-r-r-r-ry relaxed.

I used to live in Hamilton County and it’s probably safely red (Republican). Butler, Warren and Claremont even more so.

I thought Hamilton was Cincy. Urban areas don’t normally trend Republican. What gives? Spillover from Indiana?

And you can take that to the blank.

Damn! CNN just called VA and SC for Bush. He’s 10 EV ahead of Kerry now.

Whiskey and cranberry? Phhbttt. I’ve downed two Shiners, several shots of Jamesons, and a bag of Chile & Lime porkrinds. Almost time to order the pizza and fix another drink.

Oh, and where the hell is Bricker? I was hoping he’d be all over this thread, given his impulsive betting against any and all who believed Kerry would win. Heerrreeee Bricker Bricker Bricker. Someone lure Bricker in here-- who brought the ConservativeLawyerSnacks?

Hamilton is a big county that is a mix of suburbs and city. Ken Blackwell is from there. So is Jerry Springer. Anyway, the city swings Dem, slightly, and Charter in city elections, with Republican county commisioners and Represnentatives to the house. Samuel Clemens once said, “When the end of the world comes, I want to be in Cincinnati. Everything happens there ten years behind the times.” (paraphrased, probably). It’s a very conservative place. Hence the racial tensions.

Well, I expected SC and VA, but I’m surprised (and thrilled) that they haven’t called NC for Bush yet. Makes me think getting up at 5 a.m. to canvass might’ve been worth it after all

Zogby has been spot on, thus far.

He should be in shortly - asking us “if Kerry is winning, shouldn’t that show up in the polls?”

And now that I’ve said that, there goes NC. I think I’ll shut up now.

Ah, got it. Everything I know about Cincinnati I learned from Les Nessman.

The BBC graphic has the geezer who does always does this on election nights* standing on a virtual lawn in front of a virtual Whitehouse, right down to a virtual night sky. In front of him on the lawn is a map of the USA, which is gradually getting coloured in, and there are some odd flag bollards of different sizes dotted about the virtual lawn in front of some virtual trees. I can’t figure out what the bollards do yet, but as he talks us through the map, state by state, it becomes three dimensional to show us how many electoral college votes each state has.

  • I know this guy’s name perfectly well, but it escapes me tonight. He has been doing election coverage so long that he started out on black and white telly using models made of cardboard and string. Quite literally, he made his first
“swingometer” himself, a cardboard semicircle with a pointer that he had to turn. A quick google reveals him to be Peter Snow

And again, blank that blanking blank as I’ve blanking blanked another blanking bottle of scotch.

Lord, I hope I win my bet against Bricker, or else I’ll empty my entire liquor cabinet.

Blanking blank.
