As mentioned many times before, I’d like to see the 1960s cult TV series The Prisoner done with Bugs Bunny as #6 and Elmer Fudd as #2 (“heyyyyy … This isn’t Albuquoique! Where am I, anyway?” “In the Viwwage, Wabbit!”)
You could have Yosemite Sam come in occasionally as one of the “guest” #2’s. Daffy Duck can be #43, the one who keeps getting zapped when he forgets his Electrpass, or gets gobsmacked by Rover, the guardian weather balloon. The Warner Bothers cartoon villains can be the spy statues and Village operatives. I like the idea of Gossamer/Rudolph (the hairy orange monster in tennis shoes) crammed into a suit of armor, as in the old Chuck Jones cartoon, and trying to look inconspicuous as he listens in on Bugs and Daffy.
I read this thread title as, “Let’s recast with insects and people you know in real life.” I opened to find out what you wanted to recast, and why we should be interested that your pal Stu is just like Doctor McCoy.
Actually, since Daffy is now G’Kar, I’d like to nominate, as a rather convoluted and vague meta-reference, that Garibaldi would have Commander Tomalak’s picture on his wall.
Also, since I can more easily picture him in a trench coat and a fedora, I figured Daffy would be Garibaldi, but Elmer as our favorite paranoid Italian works too
