Lucas Glover’s wife was arrested for physically assaulting his mother after he missed the cut in a recent tournament. In another article, I saw Glover said his wife had a tendency to start arguments when he played well.
While Glover is not currently a superstar, he has a US Open win to his credit, he has won $20 million since 01, $2 million last year, and around $800k so far this year. And that is tournament winnings alone, not including including endorsements, appearance fees, etc.
I always assumed golfers experienced considerable stress, just because of the nature of the game/competition, and they need to play well to earn $. Can you imagine if your SO became verbally/physically abusive if you had a bad day at work?
