Sad how he’s fallen. Twenty tears ago, he was perceived as Mr. Clean. My golf-playing uncle in California was a big admirer. Not sure how he feels about him now. (He’s 96 and may not pay as much attention to golf and the news as he used to.)
I’m starting to wonder if Tiger’s career ends with a lengthy prison sentence for some heinous crime.
Yeah, then he’d need someone to pardon him.
But, having seen some of his vicious pull-hooks, I think this is not the first time he was driving under the influence.
OK, seriously - aside from this DUI and cheating on his wife a lot, what heinous activities has Tiger been up to? You guys make it sound like he’s been getting into OJ-level shenanigans. I’m not a golf fan so clearly I’m out of the loop.
He should have hit the green.

I actually think he’s just going to silently fade away.
He stopped winning tournaments. Now the people who used to treat him like a god feel obliged to balance things out by treating him like a war criminal.

I’m sad that his amazing skills and career were just thrown away, as well as what it’s done to his family. I’m sure there are some that take pleasure in his situation, but I don’t see that here.

I don’t think it’s entirely fair to say he threw his skills and career away. He’s had a long list of injuries as well as the whole marriage break-up debacle. It must be tough coming to terms with no longer being the greatest in the world as well.
Florida treats DUIs like speeding tickets, just a way to raise revenue. He will pay a stiff fine and this will be forgotten.
Assuming this is his first DUI, I don’t see that as being unique to FL. But I still bet it will affect his visitation rights, assuming Elin presses this in family court. I don’t know if she wants to make sure the kids get to spend time with Daddy or she’s still (justifiably) upset at the whole mess he made of their marriage.
