Now you're making stuff up. [Obama's citizenship]

OK, that’s what I thought. But the Old Testament ones are still considered to be prophets, right? And what about the multiple Gods thing?

Most Canadians were not born in America. They are able to be manipulated. It is fun to bend them in all sorts of nifty ways. You can stick them in slots ,plug up holes with them They are handy for plugging leaks.

Oh, yeah.

You’ve lost me.

No. No. I’m pretty sure he was saying that God is a barrista. Or a burritto. Whatever.

Right, but that’s not at all the same as saying that prophets do not exist in Christianity.

You’re just tired. The Lectroids were from Planet 10 by way of the Eighth Dimension.

I’m reminded of the character in one of the WB cartoons; the one getting slapped on the back. “Ya idjit! Ya forgot ta breathe again!” It must be like going through life lightly concussed. I can’t imagine believing such stuff.

Maybe the devil needs to hire a lawyer. An advocate, so to speak.

I’ve noticed inconsistencies in his babble, but I’ve assumed that he’s just inconsistent in his craziness. That said, kanicbird hasn’t responded to you calling him out for trolling.

So…screw 'im, he’s a troll.

But…NO TELEPORTER?

Yes it is (or was at the time of Obama’s birth. From the 1952 “Immigration and Nationality Act”

Hawai’i was a US state when Barack Obama, Jr. was born there. You can look it up. Thus, section 301 of the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act does not apply to him. He’s a natural-born citizen, born in the 50th state of the United States of America.

It’s late, and I’m not sure I can stay awake long enough to read all three pages of this thread. If someone has already made this point, props to that poster.

God frigging almighty, why do people continue to let kanicbird hijack every single thread in which he/she posts into this kind of deranged crap?

Well, this particular thread was pretty deranged to begin with, so kanicbird’s contributions fit in nicely.

It really doesn’t matter if it applies to Obama or not (you’re right it doesn’t). You said it didn’t exist in US law though, which it clearly did.

This should hopefully clarify:

Men and demons are ‘gods’, as they have the qualities of a god, and God acknowledges them and respects them as gods. But there is one sovereign God above all. So there is no contradiction.

.

Paul is a prophet:

Prophecy is a gift from God that is available to many that comes through the Holy Spirit. It’s a awesome gift, but it’s not meant for the few elect, but a gift that God desires to give out to many - and is absolutely real (and awesome).

Through the Holy Spirit I have been taught that the apparent contradictions are not contradictions, but most of the time it is our very very flawed understanding of the world that makes it seem contradictory.

Not that each and every contradiction was explained, or even pointed out, but enough of them plus revelation of God’s truth of the world has proven to me personally that His Word stands absolutely true (with no contradictions), such a pure truth that we in ourselves can’t understand without His help.

One aspect that may help is a analogy: our world does not exist in the 3d (+time) as we assume, but at least 4d, which any single person can usually only perceive and directly interact in 3d, though they exist in 4d (or more) space. Different groups of people will have interacting in different dimension groups. So events that happen will appear different depending in the dimensions one is able to perceive.

So, in the Old Testament, God says there is only one God, who is omnipotent and omniscient, and he is it. And everybody should worship him.

Then, in Paul’s various letters, Paul says that there are multiple Gods, but those Gods are not equal in power to the one God everybody is supposed to worship. These ‘lesser gods’, so to speak, are demons and people.

So, Paul is not, in fact contradicting the Old Testament, he’s just using a completely different definition of the word ‘god’ than the definition in typical use.

New Testament = Christianity
Old Testament = Judaisim…

since the new testament concerned itself with the birth of and life/death of Jesus, and making church doctrine.

I’m not sure that’s true. In the ten commandments, he said “thou shalt have no other gods before me” (emphasis added).

Exxxx-cellent! Between you and Kobal2 over in the thread on counts, I’m on a roll!

“Well what sort of chance does that give me? All right, I AM the messiah!!!”

  • Monty Python’s Life of Brian

I think you’re missing the fact that Frank used the present tense. I could be mistaken, but I don’t think he’s denying that Christians would say that there WERE prophets in the past; just that the age in which prophets were necessary ended with Christ (who was not a prophet himself, but rather the ultimate fulflillment of all prophets’ mission).

Of course not. Teleporters’ power requirements are HUGE, and once every 1674 uses the item to be 'ported explodes. I use a TESSERACT.

Sheesh.
