No even if the group is zero, no person even thinks Obama was born outside the US, but if Obama was not born in the US the problem remains, he would only be a figurehead not the president.
The problem is the law leaves no room for dispute in this matter, if he was born outside the US he can not be president. It is a black and white issue spiritually.

I thought I was the only one who caught this. Those Obamas clearly had foresight on this issue and thought they were ‘oh–so subtle’ about this advertisement. But I caught onto this right away–the oldest trick in the book! Come on, is anyone truly surprised that a mixed ethnicity child from modest means would one day grow up to the President? I mean the signs were all there from the date of birth! Of course they had to cover it all up

Along kanicbird’s line of thought, there’s this: there is some compelling evidence that, spiritually speaking, the United States does not really exist. Therefore, no one is human.
It’s the kind of crazy you want to fall in love with and have a huge wedding attended by everyone you’ve ever met and catered by Alton Brown, Julia Child, and whoever invented the Martini. It’s the kind of crazy you want to take on the honeymoon to the top of K-2 and break into every possible communication device in the world, so you could show off to the entire world (except those Kenyans with their brain controlling chips in their heads) just what a lucky guy you are to have such crazy.

I love this stuff man. I started a thread at the first of the year (which I believe may have won an award for dropping the fastest off the front page with nary a response) about this issue as my favorite news story of 2008. I figured no on else on the dope enjoyed the whackiness as much as I did, I am glad to find a kindred soul.

Alabama’s senator Richard Shelby even brought this up recently with an “I haven’t seen his birth certificate but I’ll assume he’s a citizen” piece of nonsense. If Ann Obama gave birth to her son while dancing around the Kaaba and waving a burning American flag and the exiled Ayatollah Khomeini personally hacked through his umbilical cord and handed him off to young Saddam Hussein who said “I’ll give you a Death to All Infidels T-shirt if you’ll name him after me!” and then they stopped off for a long visit with the man he calls Uncle Fidel on the way back to Hawaii, then Barack Obama would still be an American citizen. The rest is a hair splitting matter by the same people who’d find some odd precedent or call for a change of the laws if Schwarzeneggar was running for the office.
Look, no one has produced proof, and I don’t just mean proof, I mean PROOF!!!, that Hawai’i was a state at the time of Obama’s birth?

Full disclosure: I myself have visited “Hawai’i” twice. But it was years and years ago-- I was just a kid–and my family weren’t actually going to “Hawai’i”, we were on our way to Australia and back for a family vacation. I never even left the airport in “Hawai’i”, which could have been anywhere, really–it’s not like I had a GPS, or even a compass. Plus I’m sure I dozed off on those long trans-Pacific flights, giving Them plenty of time to play games with our course and navigation, or even to implant synthetic memories into our brains.
And if “Hawai’i” doesn’t exist, then my fellow Americans, I ask you, who–or WHAT–is our President now?
My Rabidly Republican Sister forwarded to me an email just two or three days ago that contained a purportedly true story concerning a young woman in a college class who thought it very unfair that only a natural born citizen of the USA could become President; she favored changing the law so that children born by C section would have an equal chance. The conclusion of the email was the fact that it was people like that young lady who were allowed to vote who were responsible for Obama being president. I suppose the message was that people should have to pass some sort of intelligence test before being allowed to vote and that intelligent people would obviously vote republican.
I’m rapidly coming to actively dislike my sister.
