Nowhere Man

Was Tom Veil really Gemini?

I am one of the few fans who think so, and am actually glad that the show ended there. Anything else would have been superfluous.

Sir

Though any time the talented and beautiful Megan Gallagher graces the screen is to be welcomed.

I quit watching after the first season. I kept missing shows and it got kind of convoluted.

What ever happened? Could you explain it? Thanks.

Ah, yes, Mr. “Veil” is indeed I.

Remember one of the last lines of the show (a spoiler, I know, but so is this whole topic)?

“You are Gemini, Veil!”

I think that makes it fairly clear.

There aren’t really any alternate explanations offered.

As shows go, this was one of the best “twist the whole premise around” endings ever made.

And if you missed this brilliant show, sorry, the end is spoiled, but you won’t know what this is about until the last episode anyway, so it’s not like the whole show is spoiled.

Gemini,

Did you take your sig from the show?

Homer–instead of me trying to explain this show (which only lasted one season), I refer you to the website “Nowhere Man.” Guys, I have a cheap Webtv, and am such a neo-luddite with even that that the concept of links is still far in my future. Sorry. The page opens with a full screen photo of Bruce Greenwood (in fact I think it’s a section within Bruce Greenwood’s official home page).

Oh, and Gemini, it has been four years since I saw the final episode, but I clearly remember after Tom looked at the tape, that there was a coda, maybe him in voice-over, which sorta set up a way out of what to me and you looked like a certainty. That maybe he really hadn’t had himself programmed, that the Gemini tape was yet another ploy of “them.”

From bouncing around the Nowhere Man Webring, I find that most fans just don’t want to accept the “Tom is Gemini” ending and have been petitioning for a series of movies of the week, whatever. Like the great British show, The Prisoner, I however think one season was enough, no need to belabor the point.

Sir

Nah, I represent duality, the Twin Gods of Castor and Pollux, a.k.a. the Heavenly Twins.

Anyway, I think it goes without saying that having the whole FBI/Gemini thing be yet another mind-f**k by the mysterious shadow conspiracy would be sad beyond belief. It just gets silly at that point.

I say Tom was just really paranoid, so of course he was going to question such revelations. But as far as the show’s internal logic goes, he’s Gemini alright.

Since it’s over, it should be the end of the story.
