N'Sync Singing Happily About Cyber Sex?

I was listening to the radio today and the station played an N’Sync song. Judging from the lyrics in the chorus, I’d guessed it was title “Digital Get Down”. It turns out, I’m right. That’s not the point. Anyway…

I went on a lyric search and found the words to this song here. In the space where it says >>>Contents-Lyrics, scroll down to No Strings Attached. Digital Get Down is about half way down the song list.

What do you think? Cyber sex? Phone sex, maybe? Is N’Sync, the innocent, teenybopper boy band, really singing about cyber/phone sex?

Ick! I think you’re right, and I think they’re maybe trying to bust out of teenybopper boy band-dom. Which is fine, but what really makes my skin crawl is their repeated use of the phrase “freaky deaky.”

And you’re surprised by this? All the teenie-bopper singers these days are obsessed with sex. Remember Christina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle?” Find the lyrics to that sometime. The song could be subtitled “OK, here’s how to get me to have sex with you.”

Ever heard the parody version, “Hooker on a Corner”? LMAO! I know the song (“Genie in a Bottle”) and I agree with what you’ve said Smeghead.

This “Digital Get Down” just came as such a shock to me. At least Christina Aguilera was a little subtle.

I think it’s fine. But then I like *NSYNC.

I like them too, but I am old enough (21) to listen to this “freaky deaky” sex-soundtrack, old enough to be doing the things they sing about, on a cold day in July (not in Idaho). The part that gets me is I heard them on the Today Show saying that this was not just an album for young girls, it was music for the whole family! Do you believe that?

Hey, Mom! Hi, Dad! Want to listen to the newest CD by N’Sync? Yeah, it says right here that it’s an album for the whole family! Isn’t that great! I have an idea. Let’s listen to that song that, strangely enough, sounds like it’s about cyber sex! Won’t that be fun, good quality time spent together!

Nacho4Sara, I (shamelessly, might I add) like them, too. I still say it’s about cyber sex though.

Oh my god there’s a song playing on the radio and it’s about SEX!

Yeah, okay, I’m like, “so what?” I dunno who you’ve been talking to that thinks that N’Sync is the Osmonds or something. Yeah, it’s about cybersex, so what? At least it’s not “I Wanna Sex You Up” or “I Wanna Get Down but Not the First Time”.
