**NUDE** Yet Another Screen Name Explanation Thread **NUDE**

I have previously been Albert O’Balsam [character from Viz - an English comic book], Skender Motorbike [and why not ?] before settling on Zico, who is a Brazilian soccer player of some note, but always gets me at the end of alphabetical lists.

HA HA HA! Bow to my superiority, you celestial peon!

I’m a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy – hence Chief.
My name is Scott – hence Scott.
[singing] Put 'em both together and see what you got. [/singing]

RTFirefly = Rufus T. Firefly, the name of Groucho’s character in the Marx Brothers movie, Duck Soup.

That should give you an idea of my sense of humor, which alsø runs to Monty Python, the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series, Firesign Theatre, and other wonderfully twisted drivel.

Well, in order to satisfy the perverse whims of my fellow posters, I’ll be writing this post completely in the nude.

Hey! Where’s everybody going?

Anyways. ‘Corrado’ is a derivative of the Roman name ‘Conradius’, and considered the Italian correpsondant to the German ‘Konrad’ (thus, you will find in some history tomes a reference to the Holy Roman Emporer Konrad, and in some tomes a reference to the Emporer Corrado. And in some tomes, you won’t even find a reference to him at all.)

The town my grandfather hailed from was Corrado, Italy (just a bit outside of Campo de Baso); half of the townsfolk have the last name of ‘Corrado’. I’m not quite sure whether the town was named after us or we after the town (some would say that were we named after the town, our last name would be ‘di Corrado’, but to the best of my knowledge the ‘di’ tends to be reserved for nobility; regular commoners (and my ancestors were definitely common; ‘dirt farmer’ seems to have been the standard profession) merely got the town name with no extra appelation).

I was named after my father, John Corrado, who was named after the saint of the day upon which he was born (John the Baptist). By coincidence, this is also his father’s name, but he was never considered a ‘Junior’.

Anything else about my name you wish to know?

Oh, wait- screen name. Well, I had just run into an old friend on-line, and figured that if I went by my real name, it’d be more likely that I’d be recognized by other old friends.

If I choose a new one, I’ll go by “F.E. Weasel”, with F.E. standing for ‘Flesh Eating.’
