NY Dopers the WPIX Yule log is on tomorrow!

Just a reminder, the WPIX Yule log is on again
From FISHBOWLNY
“A longstanding WPIX holiday tradition is back! For the 45th year, viewers will be greeted by the burning Yule Log Christmas morning.
The famous film loop of the crackling fireplace with a holiday soundtrack has been a Christmas staple on Channel 11 since 1966. This year it can be seen December 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.”

I have never seen this. Could I see it here in Georgia?

Thanks

No need for the PIX broadcast, you can just get a Yule Log on DVD. Even better, in Hi-Definition Blu-Ray.

Quasi, this is what I found about it in other areas

KRCW/Portland: Universal Sports/NRCW/32.3 will air the Yule Log for 24 hours straight, starting at midnight on Dec. 24 and ending at midnight at the end of the holiday on Dec. 25

KTXL/Sacramento will air the Yule Log on its digital subchannel 40.2 beginning at 8pm on Dec. 24, through 8am on Dec. 25.

The Yule Log will also air on the digital multicast network Antenna TV from 3-7am ET on Dec. 25. To see if you get Antenna TV in your area, check here.

Happy Anniversary, Yule Log! And burn, baby, burn!"

None of those are reachable here. :frowning:

You’re not missing much.

Comcast has it on pay per view here in Indy. I kid you not.

On-line, for free (Chicago Tribune site):

You mean On Demand. It’s free. They’re not charging for it.

I watched.

Netflix also had a yule log available for streaming.

Nope, it’s on Pay Per View. I’m on Long Island. All weekend, the Cablevision grid has been listing “Yule Log” at various times on PPV1.

I was replying to ginman999 who says it’s on PPV on Comcast. I have Comcast in Tucson. No Yule log on PPV here, although it’s on On Demand for free. I guess it varies by area, but Comcast isn’t charging for it here. And they have had it for several years around holiday time.
