Of course, my opinion doesn’t count. I’ll be working on the river in Mass. that weekend.

Because I am stupid, I did not realize that this was the Memorial Day weekend. This does not necessarily exclude me. I have to check with my family (I have one, you know) to see what they have planned. If anybody really cares, I’ll come back to this thread with the results of my research.
You know, none of this is set in stone. I’ll check with SisterRiddles, but if it means meeting more people, I’d rather do it another weekend. How’s the second weekend in June for people? I have a show opening the week after Memorial Day, so I could probably use the time. It’s up to you guys, I want the most Dopers for my buck.
The second weekend in June is better for me, too. A lot of New Yorkers go away for Memorial Day, so that weekend may not be good for many of the other folks that might just show up without much pre-planning.
Besides, I’m hoping to take a kayak course up on the Deerfield River in Mass. (the same river Green Bean works on) on Memorial Day weekend. I’d hate to have to choose between the course and finally meeting the one-and-only true love of my life, SisterRiddles.

P.S. SaxFace, Surgo is just up in Ithica, not far from the catskills. Maybe you can take him to the Latvian weekend, too, and really get em talking.

Billdo, at the Latvian party last Saturday everyone came up to me asking, “so where’s your 18 year old boyfriend?” It was quite embarassing and I had a lot of explaining to do.

There is so much irony contained in this statement, compasses point to it instead of magnetic North. 
Whatever weekend works for everyone else works also for me. I have no real schedule to speak of, so if everyone prefers June some time, that’s cool too.
The second weekend in June is both Okey and Dokey with me. I’ll be lurking to see when and where to meet. I can’t wait to finally see y’all face to face.
Actually, if we can push it out to the weekend of June 19-21, we can include pldennison and presumably Mrs. pl in the festivities. I’ve got a couple of vegetarian restaurants that are worth a try.
I’m afraid that I am unavailable on June 20. I beleive that Green Bean will be away for that weekend as well.

Heh. June 19-21 is indeed when pld will be in town, but it didn’t even occur to me to check if it’s a weekend. Just tell me where and when. I’m going back to GQ, where I actually factcheck stuff before I post it.
