Come one, come all. Test your bowl game prognostication against your fellow Dopers.

I’ve set up a group at yahoo. Signup info:

We’ll be using confidence point scoring, just like we did in the regular season group. Otherwise all settings are Yahoo defaults.

This is a stand alone game. All are welcome to join, regardless of whether you were in the regular season game, or are also in other leagues.

The prize is another fabulous Oak’s Bag of Air*.

At the moment, all you can do is sign up. Picks will be available when all bowl matchups are set and Yahoo gets around to it.

I feel like such a moron. I can’t find your group. I’ve tried searching with 7400 but that doesn’t return anything useful. Can someone help a dweeb out?

I feel a little guilty slaughtering you people, but if i must i must.
There are some real interesting matchups, like TCU v Wisconsin
Ohio state v Arkansas
MSU v Alabama
Iowa v Missouri
Boise v Utah
I wanted Ohio state to draw Boise.

I’m not one of the conspiracy guys or anything, but it is kinda funny that Boise State can’t get a bowl game against a team from a BCS Conference. I think Boise St/Ohio St would get huge ratings for the start, and hold the audience as long as the game is close.

I made my picks without any research and didn’t change any confidence levels, but will probably change some later.

Yeah, that matchup annoyed me. After Boise St. vs. TCU last year, I’m just so happy that TCU is playing Wisconsin.

The first games are Dec. 18th. There is not as much time as some may think. Start fingering them out.

We’ve got 10 people so far, but as far as I know, there is no limit on number of players. 35 games to pick and assign confidence points. I entered my picks tonight, and noticed I had to click twice. Could just be a quirk in my connection, but you want to make sure you hit Submit before leaving that screen.

And my least confident game is the NCG, which is good. Not having a clue who will win is a pleasant change.

Are we reserving the top 10 or so confidence tiers for the “name” games, like the BCS Championship, Rose, Sugar, etc…? Seem to remember we did that last year.
