Oak's College Pick'em '11

20 games to pick this week.

Two Upset Specials:

Nebraska on the road over Penn State

Missouri at home over Texas

Yes, it was ALL YOUR FAULT! <waves virtual fist in the air>

What do you think about Auburn at Georgia?
The line is Auburn -13, I think.
Is that right?

ETA: Apparently NOT… Georgia is giving 3.5 points… again, I THINK this is right.
Help?

I picked more teams on the right column that I have all season.

How is TAMU a favorite when they are playing @ K-State?

La Tech is a favorite over Ole Miss?

Nebraska @ Penn St is going to be a 3-ring circus, for the wrong reasons.

Sheridan @ USAToday is saying UGA is a 12 point favorite.

I don’t say this very often, and it makes me a little bit nauseated to do so, but

War Eagle!

Gotta have a USC win and a UGA loss to go to the SEC Championship game.

I had a very good week last week. Jumped up from 5th to 2nd. Only missed 3 picks (Northwestern, West Virginia, and Ole Miss)

I haven’t really looked at this week’s games, but I agree with these.

Hehe, a bunch of you guys had some high points on Boise St! I didn’t think that auburn would win, but I had to root for them. I got hosed on Mizzou v Texas though.

Present!!!

What was I thinking putting some confidence in a SEC team (Ole Miss) against a non-BCS team.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Damn, Boise (and I am glad they lost) and ole Miss killed me as I only had three losers this weekend. Which I guess is worse than Salty Salute (whoever that is) and JSC1953 who didn’t pick any losers. then again they didn’t pick any winners.

Fortunately I didn’t put 16 points confidence level on a team that lost 66-6. Right Zeldar?

I still have a significant lead in w/l percentage and points. ;):)

I just felt I owed Tubby a little support. :o

At least Vandy won! I suspect VU may keep UT out of a bowl. Rivals had every SEC team but Ole Miss and KY going bowling. Probably not!

The Iron Bowl might be a game to see! Somebody has suggested “Bama has to pay for this!” after the Georgia shellacking.

crap. I coulda sworn I made my picks this week. Can we just assume I picked all the winners?

A couple of players last year (including yours truly) forgot to click SAVE to save their picks.

Vandy will become bowl eligible with a win over UT or WF, both winnable for them. Miss St should beat Ole Miss for their 6th win. UF’s win over Furman won’t count, so they’ll have to beat FSU. Kentucky would have to beat both UGA and UT, so that isn’t likely. In the end I suspect we’ll have eight bowl eligible teams and maybe a ninth. But remember, a 6-6 team is bowl eligible but not guaranteed a Bowl Game. South Carolina was not chosen for a bowl after finishing the 2007 season at 6-6 and losing their last 5 games!

I thought teams could count one game against a Div I-AA opponent, but not two games towards bowl eligibility.

edit: Found a cite in Wiki (who da thunk it?)

23 games up this week. I’m fading into the bottom of the standings, but still have an Upset Special for ya…

Unranked Ohio State at home over (21) Penn State

23 games, and quite a few gimmes.

4 SEC teams are playing their homecoming (and or cremepuffs) games this week

Bama is hosting Ga Southern
USCe is going to march all over the Citadel
Furman is some Gator Bait
And Auburn is playing Samford.

At least one of those games has a better than even chance of being an upset. Best chance is Citadel.

You’re right, I thought FAU was a FCS team, but they’re in the Sun Belt conference

Not a lot to choose from this week for upsets, eh? Ohio St has the bookmakers going for them this week.

Do what now?

If I had to, and I mean HAD to, pick an underdog here it would be Florida to lose. Auburn is mediocre, USC is good, and Bama is top notch. But UF? They are scraping the bottom of the barrel. (But of course they will demolish Furman)

Cal over Stanfurd. You heard it here first. Go Bears!
