Oak's College Pick'em

10-4, there, Bubba. There are just some teams/schools where (especially where no money is changing hands) emotions take over and you just have to vote your heart.

But I must confess that even with my anti-ND genes, I will be pulling for them over Michigan, whom I have resented for fewer years but with more loathing. The happiest day in recent years was when little old Appy State punted them in the nuts!

(Bolding Mine)

So when did Auburn and Miss State get kicked out of the SEC?

It doesn’t seem like we’ve got an Official college football thread, so I’ll just drop it in here that Saturday can’t get here soon enough. Go Canes. Destroy Columbus, please.

I’m on your side – this week.

State came up just short against Auburn tonight. Still, losing 17-14 to a ranked SEC opponent is almost a positive, sorta. The defense played tough. Sadly, the QB position is just not very good, regardless of which guy is in the game.

Tough game all the way. State is going to win some games for sure.

Blasphemer. U of M has played a relatively clean program for years. They scheduled far tougher teams for a long time until the computers over rated victories and forced them to schedule weaker teams.

Didn’t get to watch, but just saw the WVU had to go to OT to beat Marshall…

I’m sure Marshall is disappointed to be so close yet come up short, but those 29 confidence points are safely tucked away :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess I could have gained 10 points on you if WVU had lost. They were only a 19 pointer for me.

Marshall had the game won all the way. WV tied the scored on a last minute TD and 2 pt conversion.

Wake beats Duke 54-48 to open up the college basketball season.

James Madison over the Rambling Yellow Jacketed Wrecks? Who had that picked? Sounds like March Madness first rounder.

Oh Happy day

Not that I’m a big Wolverine fan, but that was sweet

I am. Denard is unreal. How do you set up a defense against him?

This is one of the best years for OOC games that I can recall.

Not quite.

Virginia Tech Hokies lost to James Madison.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets lost to Kansas.

That concludes our Tech lesson for the day.

To be fair, Brian Kelly is no defensive genius. Last year, Cincinnati allowed 36 or more points in four of their last 5 games.

I knew it was some small time program. Kansas has been down since Wilt the Stilt left.

Captian Commissioner:

Why is week two score not counting?

Of course it will be lower than Week 1. There was only 29 games versus 35 games. A potential of 195 points less.

OMG they didn’t count my week two picks for some reason. And I know everyone dropped that week, cause all our scores were lower than week one, but my score for week two was zero. Damn them! I spent all that time making them and entering them and now… nothin’. At least we have the dropped week thing going, but that will still hurt. Oh well, on to week three.

My best guess is that it is not presently counting due to the “drop worst week” scoring. With only two weeks scored, this past week is going to be the lower score for most people, and won’t be included in the standings. However, if someone scores fewer points in Week 3 or later, then week 2 will be included in their total, since it is no longer the lowest week.
