Tell everyone you know to check their voter registration BEFORE they show up and attempt to vote!
The Obama campaign provides a place to get all the voter information you need in every single state; Voter Information Center. Also, if you’re an attorney, or know one, that is where they can sign up to volunteer to monitor the polls.
This site has links and/or contact information for every state to verify your registration, too.
I’ve already shown that this poll is an outlier. I would also add that this is like the 3rd or 4th pollster I’ve seen touting itself as “the most accurate.”
The real national margin is around +7 for Obama and widening, but it’s the state by state that matters, and that’s where Obama has an insurmountable headlock. Your boy McCain is getting boned as we speak in the early voting. This election is as over as 80’s new wave. If you want to get your hopes up, go ahead, but the fact that the poll you cited shows 75% of 18-24 voters going for McCain is enough, all by itself, to put it in the laugh pile. If McCain wins 75% of college kids, I’ll suck my own dick and put it on youtube.
I’m a little concerned about early voting in my state (Virginia).
The law is sort of vague as far as what is “personal business” means and whether people are just saying they’ll be out of the county on personal business and just go to the Target in the next county a couple of miles away (1st bolded part).
If it’s your regular work, you have to be away for 11 hours of the 13 that the polls are open, including commute (2nd bolded part).
I’m wondering if it’s possible that if a huge number of people are voting absentee, it might be questioned whether so many people really had business out of county or not? I’m not saying there’s anything wrong, but is this something that might be challenged?
I’m feeling a little :dubious: about this particular point (I’m voting in person, anyway, though).
