Agreed. And. believe it or not, friend duffer did actually revise some of his more Neanderthal (to us liberal types) views over time when last he was active on the Dope. Not as dramatically as AirmanDoors, but he did take some steps toward the light. His mind isn’t nailed shut: Firmly secured against most assaults from the left, of course, but not immovable.
Plus, he’s got a sense of humor, can be self-deprecating when he’s not embattled – stuff like that is why I like him even when I’m boggling at something he’s said.

Yes. I think he was making the point that it’s not the position, it’s the person and what they do. Community Organizers are not automatically of little worth and governors (or mayors) aren’t automatically instruments of good. Now, how is that a joke?
Well it’s not a “joke,” as such, but it’s a riposte, a witty rejoinder.
It is all a product of the Repub Convention. Guiliani and other speakers and then Palin denigrated community organizes to diminish the importance of the work Obama did. It was obviously a plan. It does insult a lot of community organizers though.
So some one figured Jesus was a community organizer. And Pilate was a gov. of a province. It was an amusing connection. It is not fall down laughing humor. Some even did not get it .like that speaker. It is all about nothing.
