Then you started the wrong thread, because you asked an innocuous question about what the band might play when Obama walked onstage. Next time, state your full topic upfront instead of playing gotcha and making people guess what you want to talk about. And yes, it’s getting to be time for you to consider topics that are not Obama-related.
I’ll try to remember… no innocuousness, no guessing games, not so much Obama. Can you help with how much Obama is too much?

I’m always reluctant to make up a ratio or amount for people. I will put it this way: you’ve started three Obama-related threads in the last five days, plus another about a week before that. One of those three threads this week had a real discussion topic, two of them - since it turns out you were not really interested in the OP you wrote in this thread - did not. I’d consider posting about some other topics, and if you do start other Obama-themed threads, make sure you make it clear to people what you actually want to talk about.

Who says I wasn’t interested in this thread? I had a song I heard before posting and researched it and everything… then I decided t would be better not to post it even though it was no more disrespectful than the song they played for Bachman. You should be proud of me!!

You said thread “wasn’t meant to be about the TV show so much.” That’s in a thread calling “Obama to appear on Jimmy Fallon Show,” where the OP is “I wonder what song the band will use to introduce him?” Obviously Obama is in the news plenty, but we’re talking about how many threads you start and what kind of topics you provide when you do. I think you take my meaning even if you don’t like to acknowledge it, so I expect you to keep that instruction in mind. If you have other complaints or comments about what I am telling you, start a thread in ATMB instead of posting about them here.
But the real world is so nuanced …
I’m having a hard time believing that the reuls are so cut and dry. If it has anything to do with politics it can’t go in GQ?? If it has anything to do with a TV show it must go in CS??

Obama is one of the better presidents in modern times, and deserves to be treated with respect. Most criticisms of him are insane. The song they played for him was proper and correct.
