My collar is also as blue as they come. I am a postal clerk, a ramp clerk to be precise. I am going to school though so I may cast off the shackles of my postal oppressors!

Current Profession: Computer Programmer Analyst and PC Repair and building and MS Server upkeep. Programming is mainly in AS400/ISeries RPG & RPGLE.
Past: HVAC Mech at a medical Center, specializing in pnuematic and digital controls but lots of GP mech work.
USN Electrician Mates 3rd Class on a COnventional Aircraft Carrier. (USS RANGER CV61, retired)

Um, sometimes I get toner on myself when I clear a paper jam from the printer. :smiley: Yes, I know that’s not what you mean.

I hold one bachelor’s degree (which I have so far not used yet) and most of another. I am also a computer lab monitor and English tutor, although not at the moment as there is some slight difficulty in getting back to my campus still. (Stupid hurricane. Stupid mold.)

Occasionally, I have to run wires in the manufacturing plant. Very filthy. Best I can do. My old jobs were incredibly good at getting my hands filthy.

So, I’m the first unemployed one here?

“Ornithologist” may sound like a nice clean job, but I’ve spent a heck of a lot of my career slogging through jungle mud.

Yet another teacher here! (secondary, Earth Sci., Chem, Physics)
Currently, I’m a grad student/researcher in physical oceanography.
Was an EMT, then a Paramedic for a while (rescue & basic Hazmat stuff, too).
Will even admit to a gig as a telemarketer.
(Don’t worry, I only called businesses, and it was a.) on the up and up, and b.) worthwhile for the customer.)
Have been a sales assistant for a home improvement store, a grocery store, and a wilderness equipment store.
You can even throw in Ranger/wilderness survival instructor.

Not really an occupation, but as an avocation, I’ve built almost all of the furniture I own.

Well, I work part time at a horse ranch…trust me, I get my hands dirty!

I’m also a SAHM (hah! stay-at-home…what a laugh!) and a homeschooler.

Tech writer, now a software documentation specialist.

Full time student. English major (and currently sociology minor), hoping to go on to graduate school for Library Science, and become a Law librarian.

I’m one of your doctors, board certified in psychiatry.
