Odd Things That Turn You On

I’ve got more…

(on a woman) dark straight hair and dark defined eyebrows. Eye rolling is cute and modesty really really turns me on/or rather the opposite of modesty turns me off entirely no matter how georgous.

My general tastes in women tend to change from time to time, but currently it’s short (well, shorter than me) women with wide hips (ie: Salma Hayak). And of course, it allways helps if the woman is well-balanced, fore and aft, if you know what I mean

More specifically, I tend to have a thing for woman in uniform. Not those schoolgirl uniforms (though those are nice too), but rather military style dressy uniforms (ie: Policewoman, a woman in a service dress uniform.

I also like it when a woman combines camo pants with either a t-shirt or a sleeveless turtleneck. Yaow.

The Cowgirl look is allways in style, boots, jeans, western shirt over a t-shirt, and a cowboy/cowgirl hat. Howdy.

On a related note, a woman in breeches and boots is hawt. Leather riding boots up to the knee, tan riding breeches, and a white button-up long-sleeved shirt. Not sure why, might be something about a relatively small woman who can impress her will on something as large and powerful as a horse.

Geeky girls are, of course, hot. Whether they realize it or not. I have a couple of ladyfriends who get all bouncy and excitable when they talk about Star Wars. They’re a couple of the reasons that I crossed back over from being a Trekkie to being a Star Wars fan.

There’s also a certain charm in a lady greasemonkey. Dirty coveralls, face streaked with grease and grime while she makes various mechanical adjustments and what not. (Yeah, I’m a Firefly fan, why do you ask?)

Oh, and one more thing: Women cussing in Spanish. I don’t know why, but a woman firing of a stream of invective in that language just… it’s sexy.

Women with crooked teeth. Not like hyper bad dentistry, or green or black teeth, but a cute woman with a bit of crowding and a slight snagletooth, OMG.

Women who’re dirty. You know, like they’ve been working and not caring about the smudges of dirt on their cheeks, in workng clothes covered in stains and splatters. I just screams lack of self consciousness that I know carries over into their sex life.

Scars. With good stories.

Jack

A girl in a baseball cap, with her hair pulled through the back in a ponytail. Hooo-Ha!

Just out of the shower girls in a bathrobe and nothing else.

A woman who likes herself is a major turn on. I don’t know if that is considered odd or not though but a woman who is secure enough and who likes herself enough to be outgoing and make an ass of herself and not care what others think is really attractive.

Chubbiness is also good. When a woman wears a tight shirt and you can see the outline of her love handles or when she sits down and you can see the curve of her stomach pauch, that is really attractive. Flat stomachs and extremely low bodyfat aren’t very attractive to me for a variety of reasons.

LMAO, that is one of the best websites I’ve ever seen.

For women:

Unnatural hair colurs and styles (the more unnatural the better)
Black clothing - be it rubber or lace or anything in between
Unnatural (and heavy) make-up. Lots of black, purple, bright red, blue
Body, ear and facial piercings
Tattoos

For men:
Slim androgeny
Black clothing (again)
Makeup (again)
Unnatural hair (again)
Pericings and tattoos (again)

Skinny skinny guys in black eyeliner.
Vaguely androgyous-looking guys.
Nerdy guys with glasses and a book.
A nervous-looking guy who’s chewing his bottom lip.

I feel silly now.

WOOHOO!

I had always hoped that there would be someone in the world who would find this attractive. Even if it’s someone on the SDMB who I don’t know.

Also WOOHOO! to those who like strong jawlines on women. My crooked teeth and square jaw always made me feel ugly. This has been a self-esteem boost. :stuck_out_tongue:

Aaaaanyway, I like:

  • Long hair on men. Preferably long like my boyfriend’s which is almost down to his ass, but anywhere past long enough to be able to get messy and hang in his eyes is great.

  • When guys have a little potbelly, especially when they’re tall.

  • Guys who stop to pick things up/examine things they find on the ground.

  • Guys who love little fluffy animals. Especially attractive if they’re a big tough-looking type. It’s that hint of a hidden side which is sweet.

  • Guys who don’t show emotions. Reading things written by guys who don’t show emotions. Admittedly, probably not so good in an actual relationship, but it’s intriguing to me from afar. I think it’s probably the “challenge” aspect (“I’ll make him love me! I’ll make him feel something!”), but I hope I’d know better than to actually get involved with a guy like that.

  • This doesn’t turn me on per se as I’m not attracted to girls, but when a girl isn’t completely skinny or fat but she has a little belly, and the bottom two inches or so of her shirt rides up and you can see just a tiny bit of fat above her pants. Funny that I have exactly the type of body that will make that happen, and when it happens to me I get really self-conscious about it, but when I see a girl striding confidently not caring that a little bit of her fat is showing, I think that is really attractive! I still have an image of this burned on my brain from a girl I saw about four years ago. Walking quickly, looking straight ahead, in a tanktop and jeans and wearing a colourful toque. I just wanted to run up to her and say “You are the cutest girl ever.”

Ahh, I was raced by Wesley Clark, but I see someone agrees with me! I swear that post wasn’t there when I started.

Ooh, I have another one; Girls with dark brown hair and green eyes. Yow.

My wife has this personality. Come take her…now. Kidding of course,

Also, I like bra straps or those tops with the string thingies show under another shirt. Yow.

You dig Hemingway?

You show a certain emotional maturity, then. Some women (probably raised by overly traditional fathers) fall for cold guys because they feel they’re more “manly.”

Hmmm…Y’know, I don’t ordinarily seek out heavy gals, but there is a certain sensuous potential in large females. I worked with this incredibly sweet-natured, highly talented blonde pianist once who was easily 200 lb at 5’6", but very sensuous physically. When she leaned over the grand piano to half-stick it, her big belly and breasts molding to the instrument and sort of swallowing up the keyboard, it was an incredibly arousing sight.

Guys with a wonderful back. I just love the lines of a really nice back. Tattoos can either work with or against a nice back: if they’re done well, they can look like a painting coming to life. If it looks like an Etch-a-Sketch threw up on his back, then it just ruins it for me.

That indention where the hips meet the torso on a guy? ROWR!

And if he’s wearing a long black leather coat and a hat? Purrrrrrr.

I also love great bone structure in the face.

And a talented man really concentrating on what he’s doing? Oh, baby!

Eyeliner and long hair on the right guys can be unbelieveably sexy. Then again, as a rule, I think long hair on guys is sexy anyway.

:dubious: Isn’t this just another way of saying “I need an alpha male” without mentioning the blue suits and the hot car?

Isn’t any woman turned on by bright, verbal, restless ADD guys with more energy than drive?

I’m thinking about using this as my sig line.

Odd things that turn me on:
The smell of a library.
Thunder and lightning
The scent of amaretto
The sound of wind chimes and the feel of the wind
Candlelight that flickers

I came here to mention this. I don’t get it, but I love a necklace on a guy. And the T-shirt over long-sleeved shirt combo. And on the other side, business suits.

Also, short guys. Yow. And skinny guys. If a guy is tall, he has to make it up by being some combination of skinny, nerdy, and bespectacled.

I love a certain sense of social awkwardness. I can’t really explain the feeling, but…when I can feel like I’m steering the conversation and drawing him out (though I’m a bit shy myself sometimes), that’s totally awesome. Maybe it’s that their timidness makes me feel like they’re incredibly grateful to have a pretty girl talking to them. Like I’m appreciated in a certain way.

And the nerdy thing manifests itself in many different ways. IT guys. D&D freaks. Guys talking about their neuroscience research at work.

Slightly veiny forearms.

Please.

Yay!
