Odd Things That Turn You On

Yes sir! You got that one right. Especially if she is driving a jeep topless.

-rainy

***- that’s with the JEEP’S top off…of course the other way would work too, you just don’t see it very often.

And dimples. Am I the only one who is completely entranced by them? I even get crushes on women that have them, and I’m not even Bi.

My middle son has them, and I sometimes can’t stop looking at him. He’s just so adorable!

Well, angry and mean are both big turn-offs for me. But not everybody with a shaved head is angry and mean. I guess I’ve just known a lot of sweet, smart, kind men with very short hair—plus a few total assholes. I wasn’t attracted to the assholes.

Well, there are some guys who can’t carry it off. There is something to be said for a well-shaped skull.

Weird. I know jerks with all different kinds of hair, and I don’t really associate a particular personality with buzzcuts. In general, I’m attracted to a man’s personality first, and appearance second. If a guy has an okay personality, plus a buzzcut, that’s yummy. If he’s a jerk I’m not interested in having anything to do with him, whether he has a buzzcut, or a 'fro, or a duck tail, or a mullet.

I can give you a few intellectual/aestetic reasons why I like really short hair on men. Like Kitchen Wench says, fuzzy heads is fun to rub. Also, I am turned off by men who are obsessed about their appearance, but then I don’t really find unkempt hair attractive either. Super-short hair is the golden mean, if you will. A man with a buzzcut is somewhat concerned about looking neat and presentable, but they aren’t vain about their hair. Also, while short-short hair goes in and out of fashion, usually it’s an acceptable-but-not-trendy look. Trendy turns me off.

For balding men, I think a shaved head or very short hair is the most attractive option—but at the same time you see a lot of balding men clinging to an increasingly unattractive hairstyle, and it takes a certain amount of confidence to shave it off, and I find that sexy.

The neck thing, though . . . that’s my ovaries talkin’. I can give you absolutely no rational reason why I find a thick neck attractive, but, goddamn, it really trips my trigger.

Oh, yeah, this too. I’m not entirely sure why.

On men: Eye crinkles…oh.my.god. Triangular torso/upper body, yum. Very short hair. Geekiness.

On women: Half-closed eyes with long lashes. Shirts, dresses or long coats with lots of buttons all the way up, makes me think of buttoning and unbuttoning the entire thing…very nice. Geekiness. Eyes that have a lot of life behind them, kind of sparkly.

Not a penis with ears.

Believe you me, there’s more than potential there.

(bows to Habanero)

So…How you doin’?

Men with ultraconservative hair styles are not all hypermacho warrior psychopaths. (And no, Tentacle, you do not look like a penis with ears, merely an intelligent hair-optional being.)

I decided this last week after giving up on a pompadour that once waved proudly over my forehead but was, at the end, confined to the temples. But I got a Caesar, a short one, and my hair still lays flat.

More sexy-woman stuff now. I didn’t come here to bury Caesar or praise him.

  • If she’s reading a good book. Especially history or nonfiction.
  • If she’s a meat-eater. I don’t mean pickin’ at a chicken, I mean her eyes bug out at a cheeseburger.
  • If she’s got a musical voice…lots of inflections and pitches.
  • If she’s verbal and funny and doesn’t expect her man to play the opposite.
  • If she smells like cocoa butter, a nice soap, or just herself.
  • If she doesn’t shave past the skirt line…and lets you see.

I love to watch a woman who can swing dance really well.

Heh. You betcha!

Okay, so I’m a straight girl, and I like:

  • Tall guys with broad shoulders

  • Dark eyes

  • Short dark hair. Flattops are awesome.

  • Muscles

  • Well-formed, “surgeon’s” hands

  • Guys who can do stuff: sail, race, fix cars and repair anything else

  • Strong male personalities

Basically guys like the one I’m dating.

From memory:

Desnuda eres azul como la noche en Cuba,
tienes enredaderas y estrellas en el pelo,
desnuda eres enorme y amarilla,
como el verano en una iglesia de oro.

My favorite poet and (portion of) poem. Though I do not speak Spanish, I love the way his poems sound in the language. He is wonderfully earthy, as he can show you the dirt under your fingernails and make it beautiful.

Between that and the Pa Gua I am set. Except of course for the whole current girlfriend thing. Oh, and I seem to recall you are quite young. If only the girls went for those things back when I was that old!

An odd thing I go for is women who really want to learn new things, particularly if I can teach them. I really get off on being able to show a woman how to do something and having excited and interested in learning.

Ooh, thought of another one today - anyone who’s really good with languages. Fluent in at least two or three. Something about that is just attractive to me.

Girls with extremely short hair, cut in a precise, neat, clean style. It only works if they’re attractive and feminine.

Add medium to large (within reason) hoop earrings for bonus points.

The quality of being Jessica Alba.

Do you mean males with strong personalities, or only strong personalities that are stereotypically male?

Taking the question a little further: How many here would admit that they’re turned on by people who live up to stereotypes?

What I meant by “a talented man really concentrating on what he’s doing” is I love watching a man really lost in doing something like playing music, creating art, cooking, etc. It’s very sexy to me. Then again, I think creativity is really sexy when it’s executed by anyone, male or female, alpha or beta.

Blue suits, hot car, and a restless soul are optional.

So you like tall, dark and handsome. Wow, that’s really odd.

Some of these, quite odd. Some of these, probably quite common.

-a white shirt. And in fact buttoned men’s shirt are sexy in general.

  • Chelsea boots.

  • men who are vain. They don’t have to be full on “metrosexual” but I love a men who cares about how they dress.

BUT, it doesn’t at all have to be the conventional look. Someone who can pull off a highly individual eccentric look is extremely sexy. For example, a masculine straight guys who dare to wear make-up (in a non Marilyn Manson sort of way.) and carries it off is one of the hottest things I can imagine.

  • expensive after-shave.

  • good musicians

  • good dancers

  • guys who can really seduce a woman with confidence but without being sleezy.

  • another vote for hands

  • slight helplesness/vulnerability in that male sort of way. Must be a mothering instinct but it floors me, especial if the guy has a really capable side as well.

  • confidence

  • confidence

  • confidence

Sometimes. The one that gets me is Mediterranean macho charmer.

Which is about the worst possible match for me, but there you go.

And why is it that you find this odd?
