Wow what a toughie. I ultimately chose Woods. His behavior is the worst in that he hurt other people. LeBron and Brett are going to the Dickhead Hall of Fame, but they fall just short of Tiger.
Right this moment they don’t. They did in the recent past (James, Garnett, Moses Malone, etc) though, and might again in the future, depending on how much longer the NCAA puts up with the bad publicity from corruption and/or “one& done”
What Lebron James did was exercise some common sense: he gave up a little $ to sign with a team that substantially increased his chances of winning a championship.
Tiger Woods was just horny for some poon, like every other dude.
BUT, Brett Favre, otoh, is a preening self-involved douchebag who annually, deliberately screws with his teammates and fans for the sheer selfish joy of being able to do so. Then he throws an INT. Asshole!
I don’t think many people dislike LeBron for going to Miami. They dislike him for the way he did it, with a nationally-televised wankfest rather than a regular press conference, and for the fact that he kept his old team in the dark until the last minute.
And also that joining a superteam is ultimately a cowardly act. It would be like Michael Jordan deciding that it’s too hard to beat Magic and Bird so instead he signs with Boston and gets Magic to come too. Lame to the nth degree.
I’ve got no problem with LeBron or Woods. One decided that winning was more improtant then money and his hometown and the other is just another fillanderer. I’m sick if Favre’s annual will he or won’t he show so that where I voted but I like watching him play and think he’s a pretty good guy based on what I’ve heard from people who know him (a couple of highsholl player he tutored into college quarterbacks).
I hate A Rod and I was planning on voteing for him before I saw the poll choices and think he should replace woods on the top three since he’s on all baseball season and normally gets some off season coverage and this is the first year I’ve heard of woods in the off season.
That’s irrelevant to me. I wasn’t talking about Favre.
I was simply responding to your implication that all LeBron James did was go to a new team in order to increase his chances of winning. I was pointing out that it’s not his moving, but the manner of it, that got so many people angry.
Dio already stated they don’t anymore. But they should.
We become legal adults at 18. Why deprive someone the chance to earn a living.
I picked Favre though. LeBron doesn’t bother me at all. Tiger’s stuff was personal. Farve’s act is as old as he is. Talk about teenagers never growing up.
Do you think any jobs should be allowed to restrict by age? If not, then rock on. But if you do support age limits on any jobs, then you have to mount a compelling case why the NBA in particular shouldn’t be allowed to do that.
