Off the road again in the MMP

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 76 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 88 with p.m. rain/tstorms/apocalypse predicted. We shall see. The big item on today’s agenda is deheathenization (I have ush duty) followed by first Sunday brunch. I have N.O.T. sallit and a gallon each of sweet and unsweet tea all ready to take for that. Afterwards I foresee much chillage.

Thanks for the condolences. Bill’s Requiem Mass will be Thursday at St. Paul’s in downtown Albeeeny. There will be a visitation at the church he was Rector at for many years Wednesday evenin’. I expect both to be well attended.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

After all the fresh air and walking yesterday, plus a small adult beverage before bed, I slept like the dead till 5:30-ish. Then and hour of stoopit games on the tablet, and I got up. Critters have been tended to.

I’m making Perkins’ N.O.T. pancakes for breakfast and I had to thaw the hash browns. Once **FCD **drags his butt out of bed, I’ll mix 'em up and fry 'em up. Till then, I’ll surf. Laundry later.

Happy Sunday!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off today. I shall clean, since the car is in the shop still.

Sorry about Bill, swampy. :frowning:

If it’s coming out you ass, it’s waaay impacted, and should be removed.:stuck_out_tongue:

red, I stocked up on TP and whiskey, I’m prepared.

Morning all. Waiting for a decent hour (about 0930 I figure) to mow the lawn without the neighbors being upset. Then will clean up and have my usual Sunday Eat Out Dinner.

Nava, had my wisdom teeth out 30 years ago and they haven’t bothered me since…:p;)

The N.O.T. pancakes were pretty good, tho I think I’ll omit the sugar next time. Dishwasher has run, and **FCD **cleaned our breakfast dishes, plus he scooped the cat box and sorted the laundry in the laundry room - he really likes them pancakes!

First load is in the washer and I think I’ll toss everything in the dryer today - I don’t feel like messing with the lines. Once the laundry is done, we’re going to drive over to the Cove Point Lighthouse - we’ve seen it from the bay, so now we’ll see it up close. Plus it’ll get us out of the house and give us an excuse to lunch out.

Even tho I wanted to see Mar a Lago whoomped, I’m glad the hurricane looks like it’ll stay offshore. We were worried about FCD’s folks. Now it looks like maybe they’ll get rain, but that’s it. So WHEW!! But who knows what it’ll do…

Sounds like a trip to the dentist is in your future nava. I hope it’s feeling better soon.

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted, a load of clothes in the wash (and ready now for the dryer) and fixin’ to do KP. Not much on the agenda today. I need to go to Tar-jay for a couple of things and Kroger for some pen needles (for insulin), but I foresee a trip to the dog park and a one on the bike.

Wowls!

Second load in the dryer, third in the washer, first hanging in our closets. Go me! Plus I just finished cleaning the critter fountain, and I mowed the patch of grass (weeds) in front of FCD’s shop.

MIL gave us her Nook since she can’t read any longer. I’ve been trying to charge it up - despite what the book says, it won’t turn on while charging. Methinks it’s dead… I’ll give it a couple more hours to charge before giving up. Anyone familiar with Nooks? I’m open to suggestions, ideas, or death declarations.

Gah. Got something in my left eye. Showered and let water run into it also used eye drops copiously. No luck.

Lazy day here. Hubby is not feeling well so he is here napping. He has an appointment for cardio conversion on the 9th but says he can’t wait that long. It kills him to be doing nothing.

FINALLY the Nook is showing 13% charge and I saw the 2 accounts on it. I’ll let it charge a bit further before messing with it. It’ll be interesting to see what kinds of books my MIL liked to read. I’m hoping I can connect it with the library. Its screen is larger than my tablet which should make reading a bit easier. We shall see…

Yes!

Metal Mouse. I’ve seen her live, a couple of times.

I haven’t been to a fair or carnival at all this year. :frowning: They’re fun for nighttime time-lapse/long-exposure pics of the rides.

Whilst I commend your efforts, you really should get something to keep you safe in the event of flooding.
Here’s a(n unedited) sample from yesterday morn.

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, brunched, came back to da cave and have achieved nappage. Now 'tis rainy out. Any need to feed will be via forage. Also, there’s homemade peach ice cream! YAY!

{{{Nava}}} hope you’re better soonest.

Spidey cool pic!

I worked at a library for some time. Mama Plant took to reading large print books. She complained to me that a genre she was reading had “too much oral sex in it”.
I refrained from asking her what amount of oral sex was proper.

Afternoon all. Mowage was accomplished and clippings bagged and dragged out front. Went to Red Robin (Yum!) for the Sunday meal and over-consumed (I wish they didn’t offer endless fries, because it’s an offer I can’t refuse…

Then had my credit cards turned down twice called the company (BBVA) and found they had suspended them over a questionable (questionable to them…) charge. Cleared it up and cards are now ready to be used again.

Rest of the afternoon has been Sudoku solving and internettin’, it’s 90F outside and just as soon stay inside.

Sot it was actually the battery, so it was under $200, towing included. Making poke chops with Pig Salt, baked sweet **N.O.T.**s, and a salad with a cheesy vinaigrette. drinking some Oktoberfest. I also cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, dusted, vacuumed, and swept the sidewalk and porch.

Spidey, cool photo. And I’m using my Igloo cooler and some pool noodles, in case I need a booze filled floatation device.

I made peach ice cream earlier this summer. Too bad we couldn’t get together and compare. If only you could come to Grace next Sunday, we are having a home made ice cream social.

I’s baaaaaaack!

I went for the bike around noon. I had called my friend who stores it and he said to bring Nelson, his nephew was there to watch him and we’d ride together. We went up to Trousdale, Macon and Clay counties up on the Cumberland Plateau and a little ways into Kentucky. It was a glorious day for a ride. Nelson got to hang out with Elvis, the basset hound and a college student majoring in animal science at a house with nearly an acre fenced in lot.

Now, I’m chilling. One more day to sleep in.
