Tammy Duckworth wins, Kirk is out.
Okay, weird - vote totals are essentially the same, but the percentages are wayyyy off. NYT says 25% with 1,518 of 6,027 precincts reporting. CNN claims 75%. I’m more inclined to trust the NYT because of the precinct count, but I wonder where the difference is coming from.
VA needs to flip over to Clinton.
Well, Clinton is down to a 1.5% lead with 75% counted, so apparently the last 4% was was a heavy Trump area.
GA is still too close to call.
Interesting point: 538 mentioned that they were going to track which states took longer to make their calls and pointed out GA as one to watch. If it went early, DJT is doing well. But the longer it takes to call…
Up to 78% on 538.
Not necessarily, but it closes a lot of routes to 270 off to him. He started out with a very thin collection of “roads to 270” and losing Florida would make that collection even thinner.
I wonder if the inflated percentages on the networks re: FL are because they were drilling down into county results.
There’s some matching literacy rates in the Trump results…
I don’t have cable here in Utah so I’m watching the BYU PBS channel; BUT I have a bottle of hard cider in front of me w/ 5% alcohol so I think it balances out.
Florida total population is 20 million, if that helps. What proportion is voting age & prob turnout? 3.5 million votes counted.
Amazed that Clinton is basically wafflestomping Trump with an 8 point lead in NC with half the vote counted. Gotta be a wakeup call for the Republicans there.
The map of Florida shows 5 islands of blue in a sea of red (although the panhandle hasn’t reported in yet).
78% in Florida, race is tightening, Clinton up by 0.7%.
Marco Rubio has been reelected.
going to be damned close then, as Clinton only has a 50k vote lead right now.
Rubio is declared the winner.
[del]David Rothschild now shows Hillary as 93% to win.
Light at the end of the tunnel! Pop the champagne!![/del]
And now 92% — Rothschild’s gone manic.
You’re totally discounting the many other paths to a Trump victory, like if math stops working, or it’s opposite day (McSweeney’s link, to inject a little levity).
82% in Florida and Clinton now up by 106k.
Alabama - too close to call, reports Fox News. May the oven mitts prevent me from biting my nails.
Maybe Mrs. Clinton won’t take Virginia after all.
