May I first add that I’m not really irked, and that I can totally see where he’s coming from. I just think that compared with some of the disgusting stuff in this thread shared in this thread, Lumpy’s thread was pretty tame. He even put a spoiler box. Also, I for one thought it was truly hilarious. I lol’d.
Seriously though, what exactly was the problem? Too sexual? Just going from the most recent TMI thread alone, tales of zits, poop, yeast infections, masturbation, and bloody cunnilingus are allowed, but a guy who wants to fuck some elves with his magical red dingaling is over the line? I honestly don’t get it.
Not that I’m complaining about the other thread. As you know, I am quite familar with TMI :o
It had less to do with the TMI part of it, and more with the “Dear Penthouse Forum” feel.
I’m not a prude. I’m not usually squeamish. However, the TMI part required brain bleach and skull steel wool to attempt to get it out of my head. But it’s still there.
For the record, I asked another moderator to second-guess me. He agreed.

Look at the thread I just started in ATMB (I hadn’t gotten to The Pit yet; I’m pretty anal (oh, no…TMI!) about the way I go through each section!) I like your wording a lot better, though!
My vote is for Rico. If you want to post fantasy porn, I’m sure they’re a tons of sites. That wasn’t TMI, That was NotSuitibleForSanePeople. IMHO of course.
It was indeed and … odd … idea, but really it had tons of artistic potential I thought. Once I got past the mental image of a satyr with clean-shaven legs popping a monstrous hot pink woody and working his way through the AD&D Monster Manual, that is.
If we want to ask “general questions” we could go to Yahoo Answers, if we want to talk about movies and tv shows, IMDB has message boards, and so on. I don’t think that rationale cuts it here since we can go elsewhere for the same questions, but could we go elsewhere for the same responses from the same community?
I have no interest in the thread itself, in fact… I opened the link and shut it without reading much more than half the first post, but I don’t see why it should be censored either. If the board’s population doesn’t want it, it will sink into its watery death.

I’ve seen worse threads that have been left open. If the thread was really as bad for it to be closed the lack of responses would have caused it to die anyway. It appears the mods have been closing crazy recently!
