Probably Satan has taken over Nomadic_one’s functions. He, floating somewhere in his brain, can only sit and watch in horror as the great Lucifer(spl?) controls his hands and make him restart posting after he had informed us that he was leaving.

I recommend taking the stance I’ve seen on another board. Written into the very policies you accept when signing up is the following bit:
“You will never, ever post ‘I’m leaving’ threads unless you really mean it. Why? Because the mods will ban you.”
Satan didn’t leave; he was banned.
I’ve seen a surprising amount of gushing, nauseating “please stays” in response to the leaving threat on other message boards. Amazing really, it’s like people revert to being 10 when they get on the net - “do it my way or I’m not playing”.
The proper response to threats to leave, IMO, should be total silence
Sure, but the proper response to people COMING BACK after threats to leave should be a pitting.
