Oh, My Freaking God! (Looong!)

{{{{{{{ Group Hug }}}}}}}}

 ok, who pinched my butt?
Sorry you’re having such a hard time, mipiace. Hope things smooth out for you soon.

Oh, and “Hi” sj2 … welcome to the D.Bear slow motion chat room … have you done your homework??? Passed the entrance exams?
All right, all right, they are not required exams … but we all think the background reading is highly entertaining, Heck, I’ve read my parts 2 or 3 times each!
…should only take you about 3 days … or so … chuckle

Glad to have another red head join in the mix!!!

uhm… [sub]me.[/sub] Is that not allowed?

Hey kin I come to Italy too? I can sorta speak tourtist Italian, and I used to be pretty darned good in spanish, and it wasn’t too hard to pick up, and I really liked Tuscany, and I’d really like to get back, and uhm…

anyone know where I can spend these old Lira?

DUH!! You really think we’d run off to Italy and leave you, our resident artist, here? Fat chance. I’ve decided we will be taking over this hotel. Big enough for all of us, right on the shoreline of Lake Como, a staff on hand, and a spa for Mama. Now. If someone would be so good as to win the lottery…?? Wyatt; it’s up to $35 mil this Saturday. Got your ticket?

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH Maureen, and on the shore of Lake Como. deep sigh It is so beautiful there. My aunt lived right on the Northern Riviera, about an hour from the Monaco and French borders. And that was just a different kind of beautiful. That’s one of the things that I love about Northern Italy especially. You can get to the Meditteranean (And I’m not spell checking it!) and to the Alps and to the Lakes near Switzerland and sob I want to go back!

Welcome sj2! I’m just the opposite Italian on Mom’s side, English/Irish on Dad’s. Did you get the fiery temperament, too?

ooh, White Ink, you naughty thing, of course it’s allowed!
Matter of fact, I think that’s the secret password, isnt’ it?
oops

Monaco? Did you say MONACO!?!?

:: drools profusely ::

That’s only where the world’s premier race is held! And … ohhh … the wealth … and the women … and the Wealthy Women!!

Somebody hold me!!! I’m feeling faint!!!

K, I’ll hold you if you hold me…the CASIIIINOOOOS…

It’s a deal!

Can I come too? Nice looking golf course.

Monaco is absolutely gorgeous. I didn’t get to go the last time, but when I was a kid, we went and ate at a cafe right next to the big casino. They had slot machines in their and my uncle played a game for me and I/he won. I don’t remember how many francs it was, but I was all excited until I found out it was only $2.50 or something in American money.
Why don’t we all just hold each other and let’s get packing. Can you imagine the hot tub in that place???

Salem, hon, did you NOT see the indoor pool? And there’s even a kiddie pool, so our smaller kids can play too. I think between um…8? of us women, we should be able to deal with it. Easier to handle one large brood. 'Course, I’m torn…the baths on Capri are supposed to be amazing. And I want very much to see Vesuvius and Pompeii…all of Italy, really, especially where my grandfather was born.

Oh, and 6, I was counting on you being there!! You and everyone, really. I can’t even think of moving all the way to Como without my family!!

Can I come too??? Always wanted to go to Italy(still do), but the ex didn’t want to go there. always said it was smelly and rude. My step Grandpa was 100% off the boat Italian, so even though I don’t have realy Italian blood, I felt like it growing up. and I am named after him

Sure I’ll go right out and get it tomorrow morning!
What were those numbers again???

I dated an Italian family for about a year … can’t really just date the one girl, ya date the whole family! So, I’m kinda part Italian, by … injection …

too easy…

Yawwwwn! 'Scuse me. Just got back from taking Sherri out for dinner and a movie, and it’s past my bedtime, but the feasels needed some time out of their cage. Most of you don’t know her granddad died yesterday. That’s why I took her out; she needed a night out. He was a nice old guy; my favorite of her family, aside from Sherri, and practically like a grandfather to me. It’s a long story, but it was one of the factors that kept me away from the board last week.

Anyway, I wish I’d brought the shotgun with me, tonight. For the first time in my life, I would happily have shot a moose. We went to a Bugaboo Creek restaurant for dinner. I don’t know how big a chain it is, but anyone who’s been to one will know why I wanted the shotgun. The place is full of animatronic “wildlife trophies”, like the larger-than-lifesize moosehead that comes “alive” every so often to regale the diners with tales of the wonders of the Bugaboo Creek dining experience. But, the food was pretty good, in spite of that.

And, we went to see Matchstick Man (Men?), starring Nick Cage. It verged on becoming hokey a few times, but otherwise was pretty good. Cage gave the performance of his life, too.

Actually, I kinda needed a night out, too, after starting my day off by being backed into in the garage at work, and having everything turn to guano once I got to work. Not a fabulous day, really.

That’s saying a lot! He’s one of my favs!

Look at the bright side, Dave. It’s the weekend!

Mine, too. But, too often, he either doesn’t bother to act, at all, or it’s painfully obvious that he is Acting. I’ve seen most of his movies, though I admit I avoided Windtalkers and Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, and the only performance I can think of that approaches this was in Leaving Las Vegas. JMHO, of course.

Yeah. If I didn’t have a dentist appointment today, and a wake tomorrow, that would be really good news.

Sorry about Sherri’s grandfather, Dave. That can be one of the hardest things about breaking up a long term relationship. Those family ties can be very strong.

So where’s there a Bugaboo Creek? I’ve never heard of the place! I’ve been to the Rainforest Cafe at the Burlington Mall though which sounds like the same thing, only jungle style. The kids love it, but it can get on your nerves after awhile. Excuse me, Mr. Elephant, can ya shut up while I’m oredering my coffee please?

Has anyone seen the new movie with Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas? I have no idea what it’s called, nor do I care. Something about Mexico. It looks good. Did I mention it has Johnny Depp and Antonio Banderas in it. Together. At the same time. Like a sammich…hmmm. Oh pardon me, what was I saying?

My favorite thing about Antonio Banderas is saying his name… it’s just fun to say. Not seen that movie though Salem.

(((((Dave))))) Hope that next week is better for you and the weekend goes as well as it can.
