There are several important factors which you should always remember whenever cataloging Daves. The first, which you’ve already mentioned, is the ratio of GDEs[sup]1[/sup] to BDEs[sup]2[/sup].
A true picture of the data, however, must also take into account a few underlying issues.
The first phase should always be to remove the BVDs[sup]3[/sup]. This will allow the researcher more flexibility and speedier access to the specific Dave in question. Normally, a GDE will result shortly after the BVDs are gone, but in rare cases you may find yourself facing an unexpected STD[sup]4[/sup].

[sup]2[/sup] - Bad Dave Experience
[sup]3[/sup] - Basic Vanilla Dave
[sup]4[/sup] - Shit Talkin’ Dave

Rock, thanks for the kind words in the other thread. I can let you and everyone else in on what’s mostly got me bummed. I got an e-mail from mipiace earlier in the week. Her mom called and wanted her to fly home immediately. That’s why she hasn’t been around. It seems her Dad is really in the last stages. I got a quick note last night. She said he wants to die at home and the Drs. are going to let him. It sounded like she’s taking it pretty well, taking it as a chance for her to say goodbye. Sorry to be a downer, thought y’all’d like to know.
Yeah, 6, I had a hunch that was it. She’s really, really in a tough spot right now and could use ALL our prayers/positive thoughts/hugs.
