Thanks all. And hugs right back to all of you. Especially you, dannyv; I’m pretty sure you know what today is. You, and Wyatt, and White Ink. No one has started a thread, and I suppose on reflection, that it’s perfectly understandable why not. Also, it’s my baby brother’s 35th birthday, and I missed him by (I guess) a few minutes when I called this morning…
14 years ago tonight, at 5:07pm PST, alot of things happened to me that required much soul searching. I found reserves of strength I didn’t know I had. I saw things that I will never be able to forget, both heroic and unbearably painful. I cried so many times I lost count. I lost my faith. I decided I was going to have a baby. And I dumped my fiance. All things that may or may not have happened eventually, but it took a 7.1 earthquake to make me realize that I needed to make some drastic changes, in my life and in myself. In a way, October 17th is my birthday, as well as my brother’s.
Sorry for the hijack, dear one; it really isn’t thread worthy, just musings that will be going through my head all day today.
