dannyv, I read about that. It WAS bad. They’re supposed to close the bridge to foot traffic if the wind is so high the bridge is swaying. But that last guy… did you read that it was his second jump from the top of the bridge? Unreal.

I shot the five stand instead of the field course so I had time to stop back in here. I shot about 75% but I didn’t shoot one of the hard targets. I’m a solid 60% shooter, which allows plenty of those clay pidgins to get away and insure future generations.

I got in trouble for NOT leaving some software running, or forgetting to restart it more precisely.
All persons not interested in tech geek stuff skip down to the spanking part :).
We were loading Norton Anti virus on a bunch of process PCs. These machines actually are the interface to the process here where I work (think PCs being used to communicate with PLCs (programmable logic controllers) that run lots of heavy machinery)).
One of the machines I had to install NAV on was a data logger. It stores lots of data of various types. Once I got the software installed I kicked of a manual scan of the disks, forgetting that this machine has a huge RAID array (Multiple disks that look like one disk, and have built in redundancy). Well OK it’s not HUGE four years ago it was HUGE Anyway the scan was taking so long I went on to other machines and did the install. I forgot to go back to this machine and turn things on. It’s not critical for normal operations, and the only data that was really lost was the alarm log. It’s about 35 meg per day of event logging. Everything else on this machine is also stored somewhere else. I didn’t discover this until first thing this morning, when I came back in. So what do you think my boss wanted to see first thing this morning? Right… So today I worked on a redundant storage device for the alarm logs.
I don’t mind the winks all over the place, as long as some of them hit me As for the caressing I was mentioning that I greatly preferred it to spanking, but I could be persuaded to do either

Ah, yes, Confusion certainly is a beautiful state to visit this time of year. Actually, any time of year. I spend a LOT of time just wandering around their parks. I think I may buy a place there and retire early.
