I always have been…probably because I’ve been watching them since I was very young. That’s what happens when your step-brother and sister are much older than you and let you watch whatever they are watching. ~smiles~

The lottery can be that way. A girl that used to work here bought one and won $50, she was excited. My thought was that she’s probably spent that much to get that ticket, tenfold.

Regarding dirty houses: Eww, eww…I lived in a boarding house for a month once. The woman who ran in lived in the house as well, and slept on the couch so that she could rent out all of the bedrooms. She washed her hair with Palmolive (yes, the dish detergent), ate the fat I cut off of the chicken I made for my family (out of the trash) and stapled “new” carpet (to her, it was old nasty stuff her son had torn out of his house) to the floor…
To this day, I do not walk around barefoot, even in my own home.
Side note…Do you guys ever seen girls dancing at bars (regular bars!) take their shoes off? EWWWWWWWW…what are they thinking?
Dreamer, I cleaned a house for my aunt’s sister-in-law once. My stomach would get queasy every time…She liked to bathe her dogs in the tub…she also liked to take baths with those dissolving oil pearls. ~gag~ Oh, and there was the time I found ancient dog poop behind her couch…
Wow, time for lunch. ~wrinkles nose~ Suddenly I’m not hungry…

Well, this is better than Slim-Fast! Every time I get hungry today, I’m just going to sign on and read this page. I should be down another 40 pounds in no time at all. Well, maybe another 40 wouldn’t be such a good thing. I’d certainly be thin, however the dead thing might take away from the look a bit.
Why is it that kitchen chicken is giving me all sorts of visuals other than the one you intended, Zen? I bet I could turn it into a really fun game! (There’s one just for you!)

Jaade I used to work with someone like that also. He was an older guy and let’s just say he wasn’t the brightest bulb in the chandelier. He spent $150 per week on the lottery. He was always convinced he was just one drawing away from retiring… It was actually pretty sad.
And note: No mention of gross unappetizing stuff

Ok I’ve been checking out the LJ’s (such an educational thread) and I have noticed the hamsters having fits, but what does

Shotgun Zen, there’s not really much else I can add about LJ, so I’ll echo Dreamer a bit. It’s like an online diary that you can update anytime you’d like, as often as you want. You can make entries friends-only, self only or open for anyone to view. You can friend people, meaning their journals are stored on a special page that you can view anytime you like to keep up with them, and you can join communities. There are several SDMB communities (the board, not the boobies), and also sports, college, fan club type communities. If you have thought of it, someone probably started a community about it.
