Oh, My Freaking God! (Looong!)

woohoo! another lurker. Jonmarzie, back on page, um…5? I bumped the blasted thing just to find out what happened with Dave, but since then, we pretty much hang out because we enjoy the hell out of each other’s company. Strange as we are.

And Wyatt, darlin, I love ya, but purple onion is heaven on a really good burger.

Yeah I’m with Mo on that one. We are a regular freakin’ cult by now. really. We have been through (might have to have one of our sefl appointed announcers here but)

childbirth, many layoffs, heartbreak, death of parents, fights with spouses, ex-spouses, death of ex-girlfriends parents, fires, birthdays, hospitalizations, getting pissed off at each other, getting over getting pissed off at each other, going bat shit, supporting each other when we go bat shit…and it isn;t even what you see going on here…there is stuff that goes on off board too so we are a tight little group. It’s like a family-- maybe a slightly dysfunctional family but family just the same.

We could really be a great sitcom. No way, I don’t post just to keep it going. I would miss teh hell out of this if you guys weren’t here.

I say burger is optional on my onion!

Oh andRocky I don’t know where you got the idea that power windows might be optional…not in my life…I could break a nail that way. Really!

OH NO!!! Not a broken nail! That would be terrible!!!
This sarcasmeter is off the scale! Gleben…

I love winter, but could do without the drama it causes here in our nation’s capitol. the people here have trouble driving in rain, never mind how bad it is when there is white stuff on the ground. not to mention that last blizard I was stuck working 16 hour shifts at work for 3 days cuz no one else could ge in to cover the front desk. (well, ther was one girl that could come in, but she culd only do 8 hour shifts. I was a way grumpy gus by the time I got back to 8 hours shifts)

The thing I liked about SoCal was taht I could drive to the mountains and go skiing, and take the top downon the way back to base.

is there room for me in the hot tub? and Wyatt I’ll have an ice cold sam adams if you can find one in that there bar.

One each import quality US beer… coming right up…

Yeah, Taz, you guys got SACKED in that last blizzard! We got it pretty bad up here in PA but nothing like you guys.

uh… Jonmarzie did?

Taz, sounds like drivers around here. Everyone completely forgets how to drive when it rains. They are either going 35 or 80 on the freeway, nowhere in between, and they all act as if they’ve never seen rain before in their lives. Traffic immediately snarls, there is at least one accident on each of the 7 bridges, and the people going 35 just aren’t happy unless they are cutting me off every 30 seconds. A 20 minute commute turns into an hour and a half.

Mo, we’re alwful glad you’re staying in touch from Dayton hell, but shouldn’t you be in bed? It’s after 1 am! Don’t you have another big day ahead?

Seriously, how are things going?

Darlin’, I got home Monday night. Things were fine. I will be going back, and according to my boss, I will be starting to travel a bit more than I have been. :sigh:…rackin’ up them frequent flyer miles. I’m hoping next time I get to go to Chicago. We have 8 units there, and it’s a good excuse to go someplace I love.

hahahahahahaaaa…i was just reminded of something I said to somebody about “the best way to wake up in the morning,” but I don’t think I could post it in that guys’ thread.

Oy, you must be right, 6. It’s time to go to bed.

[beavis] nuh unh uh uhn she said rack nuh unh uh unh [/butt head buddy]

mo, I absoultly HATE driving aroudn here when it rains. seems the minute the first raindrop hits a windshield, the driver instantly forgets how to drive. they swerve for no apparent reason, and will stop quite suddenly for nothing. Having grown up in Mass, I learned how to drive in rain and snow, but here they drive like northerners drive in snow, and when it snows, they drive like there is nothing on the ground at all. Kinda like the snowstorm I had in SoCal when I lived there.

6, yea we got racked in that storm, but at least the hurricane didn’t get us too bad. adn as I rember, you made it through taht rather unscathed.

Taz

You made a one day cross-country trip? Man, that sucks!

Sooooo… what IS the best way to wake up in the morning?

Taz, yeah we made it thru the hurricane pretty painlessly. Dan Rather was screaming about a foot of rain, but it wasn’t anything like that. A little rain, a lot of wind. More of a curiosity than anything.

I don’t know my pal that lives in DC (the motorcycle boy from a few pages back) lost his power for a week from the hurricane. I offered to let him come and stay with me of course but the commute was a little long…

And speaking of the weather, how about them Mets?
Oh wait, that’s not quite right, I guess.

But speaking of the weather, one of the local stations has said and I doth quoteth:
*High Wind Advisory As of 4:36 am EST on November 12, 2003 …High Wind Watch For Thursday And Thursday Night…

This high wind watch includes northern Connecticut and Rhode Island as well as western… central and southeast Massachusetts. The potential exists for gusts as high as 60 mph Thursday and Thursday night which may bring down trees… branches and power lines and cause scattered power outages. *

Sounds like fun, eh? Think I’ll get my special umbrella out and play Mary Poppins. Maybe I’ll land in a better place.

Well that doesn’t sound like much fun…got a fire place? Could make a nice cozy fire and snuggle up with Mr. Salem.
