You are correct - progressives DO NOT support those views. And no one (other than Octoputz, but you should always expect putziness from him - it’s in his name!) is saying that they do. I certainly didn’t get the sense that @Der_Trihs was referring to progressives rather than tankies in the post I actually quoted.

I agree that those are extreme positions. I’ve never met anyone who espoused any of them, however. And i hang with some pretty left-wing people.

There are a lot of people in the world, and for any opinion you can imagine, I’m sure there’s someone, somewhere, who holds it. But are there people who hold these positions who matter to anyone else? Except their immediate family?
