That’s right folks, hyperjes is pregnant. She is about 7 weeks along now, so I am the proud father of a kidney bean with a heartbeat. And I am also the proud husband of a total crazy lady. So crazy, in fact, that she isn’t even going to dispute it in this thread, nor will I get in trouble for saying so. Well, not today anyway, or at least in the next five minutes. Our moods are rather…changable…as of late.
But anyway, we are very happy and excited. Speaking solely for myself, I’m a bit aprehensive. I guess 27-28 years old is a perfectly reasonable age to have a kid, but man, some days I still feel like I’m 15. I still build models of giant anime robots for Og’s sake! :eek:
Anyway, I am all over the map with this, as I guess is natural. The kidney bean’s extended family is also very excited, and none of us can wait to meet him/her.

Now you can practice on who’s bad behavior your precious little Bean acts like more during sulky moments. Our pwecious children take after my husband during these times and after me when they are perfect angels. Whatta surprise, huh?
It’s much better to be 27 and feel like you are 15 than to be 15 and think that you are 27 when you are having a kid. And better than being 27 and thinking you need to act like you are 57.
Did you and hyperjes meet because of the SDMB? If so, this will be the fourth Doper baby (counting the one that Weirddave and Ginger of the North are expecting). If not, it doesn’t count as a Doper baby.
Really? I thought you just needed both parents to be Dopers. Oh, well, take ours off the official list too then. Does this mean I don’t get the t-shirt?
